    A ****** wool blanket was dropped off at Island Garden Cleaners in Winthrop to be dry-cleaned. The blanket was picked up at the same facility Sunday December 4th 2022 I paid $27.00 for the blanket to be professionally dry-cleaned.After arriving home I opened the blanket wrapped in plastic to find the wool blanket queen sized prior to sending to ****'s Dry-Cleaning now much smaller felted and shrunk. I immediately called Island Garden Cleaners and spoke to ** the woman who had taken my money and she said the blanket had been sent to ****'s Dry-Cleaning. She gave me the phone number to the dry-cleaning business in Lewiston. I called three times and no answer. It was Sunday so I called the next day and upon answering the attendant said that I never should have been given the number they are sick of being called about mistakes you take your chances with laundry and they are not about fixing anyone else's problems. I called ** again and she gave me a name and number of a woman who I emailed, ********************* at ******************************* I have emailed a few times and she has asked to keep her in the loop. I had to send back the blanket which got sent out and returned Dec 29th 2023. The blanket looked straighter and it said no charge. Still shrunk still felted . I left the blanket emailed ********************* at maine Laundry Centers and have heard no response. I would like some restitution for this callous handling , they advertise that sensitive fabric and costly material can be professionally cleaned and responsibly cared for. They ruined my wool blanket by just washing in wash and fold laundry then charged $27.00 for dry cleaning.

    Johns Cleaners is a dry cleaning firm that accepts garments from numerous stores.  The blanket in question was dry-cleaned  for a  laundromat in ********, **.

    All items/garments received by Johns Cleaners have a signed release as manufacturers and garment composition differ greatly.  We understand Winthrop's customer is not satisfied with the *********************** results and should contact Winthrop laundry for restitution.
