    I am 76 years old and have been saving to have my driveway paved for a long time. 5-3-2022 *********** Martin and his young son came to my house to measure the driveway, he was in a big hurry said he was really busy, not ever having had a driveway paved before ,i ask him some questions he was very vague and said he would go over everything right before he did it and i should send him a deposit of five hundred dollars as soon as possible which i did on 5-4-2022 a little later i got worried and called him and told him i wanted a good job with a base coat and top coat the way it should be he said he doesnt do that he only does base coat, i told him if that was the case i didnt want him to do the job and to please send my deposit back. He refused to send my deposit back. I never signed anything or was never made aware that the deposit was non refundable

    This is not true what this guy has said . He scheduled the driveway knowing what the invoice has stated and then backed out probably because hes on a Disability budget. Then wants his $500 Deposit back for holding his date . I have told every customer if you schedule the date your agreeing to the contact to get the driveway done . I lose out thats why I ask for the deposit so people cant change there mind  to another company or cancel last minute like this guy. This is a business that stays strong and I am behind my work 100%. I have been threated by this older gentlemen non-stop since and will be contacting the police due to the harassment that has occurred from him. He is not a professional customer . If $500 is a problem then why schedule a $35,900 job done and how does someone on disability even have that kind of money saved ?

    In response to what Mr. ********************** states, I did not make any "threats" to him. I was unhappy with the way he kept brushing me off when I tried to get more info from him about the job details. I did not feel as if he
    was acting very professionally, especially regarding a $35,900 job. When I asked to cancel the job, it was giving him almost one month notice; certainly enough time to schedule someone else in. So I don't feel 
    that his return of my $500 deposit (which was only to hold the date, and not stated as non-refundable) would be a hardship for him. 

    I am also quite offended that he assumes I am "on disability", and seems to degrade anyone who might be.
