My son was at this camp in mid July 2024. They requested he be picked up early due to not complying with getting out of bed. Upon his return home he tested positive for COVID - likely why he did not get out of bed. In addition, they returned his prescription medication which did not have the correct number of pills in it. 2 of the prescription medications had extra pills and one of them (a controlled substance) was missing a pill. I took pictures immediately of the pill packs we received from them. When asked for them to look into this they said they were not responsible for the medication once it left the property. However they did not administer the medication correctly while he was under their care at the camp. Nothing was done to the medication after he left. The pictures clearly show the number of pills remaining in the pill pack. This is complete negligence on their part.

Hidden Valley has an impeccable record with regard to all of its medical operations. We have the highest ratings possible in this regard from ************** and the American Camp Ass'n. More specifically, we are in possession of medical records (protected by *****) proving that this child's medication was administered properly by experienced Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners. Note that the child in question was asked to leave camp because of disruptive behavior that could not be controlled by our professional staff or by his own parents.

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered.

This complaint has nothing to do with the medical process you have in place or my childs poor behavior. You provided me a ********************** Record which shows you administered 15 doses of *******, correct? You were given 30 pills in a pill pack from the local pharmacy. When he was picked up the pill pack had 14 pills in it. So if you administered 15 pills over 15 days then we should have in our possession 15 pills. You offer no explanation for this? With regards to the MAR you supplied a picture of you administered 15 pills of ******* and 15 pills of trazodone. You were given 30 pills of each in a pill pack from ***********************. You returned to us, 17 pills of ******* and 16 pills of trazodone. We should have received back 15 pills of each. You have offered no explanation for this discrepancy. Yes you gave a photo of the MAR but it does not reconcile with the number of pills we received back. I have provided photos of the pill packs we received back. I want an explanation for discrepancy as it is very concerning. You may have policies and plans etc but it does not mean mistakes are not made and improvements cannot be made.

Businesses and Customers should be civil, courteous and polite in their responses to complaints. It is important to remain professional and productive when participating in the BBB complaint process.
