    on 6/14/24 I purchased two tubes of caulking. upon usage I found the product to be no good due to curing and hardening to a solid in the tube rendering it useless. I attempted to return it with no success and was banned from the store. Then I discovered from the manufacturer the product had a max ***** life of one year and the product he sold me was four years old. the mfg. contacted the store and ordered all of their product to be removed from the *****. This to me is a blatant fraud and I have lost 6o. dollars.

    In response to Mr. *************** complaint, please note that he was an employee of Hannas garage which when sold became Fairwind Marine. There was a space between ownership where the business sat idol. When I was hired to manage Fairwind Marine, ************** asked what the chances were of him being hired. Going on former reputation I told him then that chances were minimal. It was obvious that he was disgruntled and has been for the past 10 years. Nine chances out of 10 when he purchases something at my store, he will return it within a couple of days. The product in question is not a product that has a shelf life however it does have best to sell by date.  At the time of the transaction, he purchased two tubes of caulking, one of which I replaced because it was hard. He used one tube of caulking and then tried to return the second one saying that that one was also hard. It was unopened, so not possible to know that it was hard.  It is our establishments policy in order to get a cash refund one must have the receipt for the product. He did not have the receipt therefore we did not refund his money.
