We were quoted a price of 1400 to have three piles of trash removed. They had us send pictures and based there estimate off what we sent them. We paid 700 deposit up front and they took the other 700 before they showed up to do any work when it was supposed to be after the job was done. They where supposed to show back up on November 1st to finish getting the piles that where shown on the pictures and when we called to ask why they did not show up they then stated that they charge 700 per truck load but estimated the entire job to be 1400 total. They also left trash strewn across the yard when they left. Would like to get half our money back or the rest of the piles cleaned up It is the companys fault they based there estimate solely off pictures

    Business Response

First, I have never spoke to ***** as she was not the person who requested the job. It was Brandons grandmother who called us to schedule the job. I gave them a quote at the start for the items they provided from pictures. After they agreed they wanted to schedule the job but they did not respond for a month about moving forward and making a deposit. When they finally reached back out they had added additional items and piles. I gave them a new estimate that was more than the original because of the additional items. When they said they could not afford that much I then offered to the grandmother that we could do it for $700 per truck load to have my team come up and start the job and that we would take 2 full trucks and get as much as we could. She said that was fine. When we showed up to the residence we filled 2 full trucks as promised and noticed that 1 pile of debris was buried under earth/sand and we would need heavy equitment to gather the rest. This was never told to us when talking about the job. I reached out the same day by phone and never got a response. We never told anyone we would be back on a certain date as I needed to speak with them on how they would like to move forward. Finally I was able to reach ******* and give him the update. when doing so ******* said oh ya looks like someone that lived here tried burying the debris admitting he had full knowledge of what was going on and never told us. I told him that we could come back out of good will and grab the rest of the loose debris that wasnt buried for $300 not the price it should be $700. He said that was fair and he understood. I was very clear on the charges per truck as the grandmother changed the scope of the job 3 times. I didnt want there to be any confusion.

I filled out the complain for my husband, who had been back and forth in communication with ****. We never said we could not pay the increase we asked why it had been increased. ******* send a new set of photos of the same piles, but we cleared out bushed around the piles.
