  Our comp-shingle roof was looking long in the tooth, so when we refinanced our house in ******* we also budgeted for a new roof, which Pinnette recently installed. We went for a standing-seam metal roof (24-gauge steel) because, while it's more expensive, it will last a lifetime with minimal maintenance; and snow accumulation will be minimized. We obtained competitive quotes, so we knew Pinnette's was in the ballpark for a professionally done project on a complicated roof like ours. Also, though we didn't verify any independently, the other jobs they've done as shown in the gallery on their website showed a high level of skill and experience.We executed the contract a year ahead ($200 ******* deposit) because that is how busy Pinnette are. (Old saying: When you want a job done right, give it to a busy person.) The entire project took 6-7 weeks, as expected; weather is always an unknown factor, and these guys know better than to try working in dangerous conditions. The crew were unfailingly industrious, polite, and considerate to my wife and me throughout the project; and they did a good job cleaning up the site during and after their work. Because a metal roof can be installed atop an existing comp roof, there was no tear-off, with all the cost and mess (and landfill) that would have entailed.Aspect of the contracting process is worth noting: Another roofing company, after surveying to make an estimate, backed out because they weren't confident predicting material and labor conditions a year out. Pinnette made their estimate a year out, simply providing that if their costs went up by 10% or more the contract price was subject to adjustment. But the estimator said that labor and material costs in the roofing business had been pretty stable, so there wouldn't necessarily be any change. Indeed, the invoice price has not exceeded the contract price. But be aware that, like anything involving investments, past performance is no guaranty of future results.

  A big thanks to ***** and Pinnette Roofing! I called them about a roof vent pipe leaking and within 2 days they came and evaluated and diagnosed the problem. Within 2more days even though Id was the day befor PE a National Holiday, Cliff and crew were back as promised and fixed the problem within 2 hours! We are so pleased with their commitment to service and quality. We highly recommend them to anyone who needs a roof or roof repair. They will forever be our first call! Thank again ***** and Pinnette!
