      Rental Agreement #: ******* I rented a set of scaffolding on 10/10/23 for 28 day term (thru 11/6/23)Initial cost totaling $523.98 ($373.98 for equipment + $150 for transport)I finished with equipment 1 week early (11/2) and called the company to inform them equipment is disassembled and ready to be picked up early, if they would like. (Obviously not requesting any sort of prorated refund for the week I didnt use equipment as I agreed to pay for a 28 day term regardless of how much I used equipment.) They advised theyre unable to pick up equipment until 11/14 (8 days past the end of my agreement)On 11/6, they charged another month of rental fee ($363) stating they dont have anyone to retrieve the equipment and since Ive kept the equipment, that means they charge another month. Advised Ill get the money from second charge refunded once they can come to pick up equipment. At this point, I have not kept the equipment, they have left the equipment. They originally advised pickup on 11/14, but when I spoke to branch manager in person, he mentioned a couple times when we can vs. November 14th which causes concern as to whether or not their date of 11/14 is accurate, as I was given nothing in writing that states this amended pick-up date. Their lack of a proper staff to uphold their end of an agreement should not become my problem or the problem of any lessee doing business with them regardless of whether or not the money will be refunded at a later date. ****** manager mentioned at one point that I am the only person who has ever complained about this which leads me to believe this is an ongoing occurrence with Seacoast Scaffolding and they are frequently unable to uphold their end of the terms of their rental agreements and are continually making it the customers financial burden that they dont have enough staff.
