I found the company on the internet. The web site states some greats things but in my case, none of the promises of service were delivered. I was working two jobs, the main caregiver for my husband and needed help looking for a car. I had dealt with Aamco Transmission and noticed that Auto Buying Assistant used them and their logo as a positive review. Not until later did I realize the review was 6 yrs old and had nothing to do with ABA, LLC. On 9/18/2023, I meant to only leave a message since I work a split shift, but the owner *************************** answered the phone even after hours. He was patient as first and talked a good talk. He just happened to know of a "great car" at a "great small dealership" and he contacted the owner of the small dealership even though it was very after hours by then. Apparently someone else was also interested in that very car, and he wouldn't know until the morning but first he needed me to go to his web site and sign the contract before he could discuss any further details. As it turned out it was just sold and soon after ****************** started behaving in an aggressive, forceful, urgent, even presumptive and condescending manner, all the while giving me false or "misleading" information. When he didn't get the results he wanted he became angry. He expected me to buy the first and only car I test drove and it became apparent he was not interested in whether I got a car or not. He said, "one way or the other, I'm getting paid." When I informed him I no longer required his services, he didn't ask for any feedback, became angry (again), defensive and escalated his harrassement and intimidations. Since all he cared about was getting paid and quickly, he attempted to further threaten me with illegal late fee amounts and deadlines and used envelopes with large "OVERDUE" & "LAST NOTICE BEFORE BILL TO COLLECTIONS" etc. written in large dark black ink with yellow highlighting. I didn't keep those envelopes because they were so toxic. I had to type and mail my letters Registered and Certified because I refused to be further harassed by him, with his ugly voice mails or text messages. I had signed an electronic contract so I paid the $355.50 he said he earned, but under protest because he clearly did not earn but $20.00 He did not live up to any of the promises he made over the phone or the things listed all over his web site.I believe it is a con game of sorts and find it nearly impossible to believe that the photos he provided me of the "great car" were real or relevant or that even the photos and dates in his Yelp account are relevant to Auto Buying Assistant, LLC. ****************** was a car salesman for several dealerships in the past and most photos are obviously taken at dearlerships, are rather dated or all taken about the same time of year, and not uploaded in a natural consistent, sequential manner.I am filing a complaint to the ************************** and perhaps some other agencies, as I want as many people to be aware of the business dealings, harassment, deception and intimidation they will most likely receive, be out $355.50 and still not have a decent car to show for it all. I believe he has taken advantage of the family's good name standing in the ******** area and exploited it. I have enclosed the final letter I sent to him which discusses all events in chronological order.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/03/2024

*************** as our company did absolutely nothing but cater to This individual and put fourth every effort to try and meet her needs for an automobile however when we found multiple choices for her she either didnt like, found a reason why she couldnt look at the vehicle due to a bust schedule and after weeks and weeks of going through this we explained that we are finding exactly what your looking for however your communication with us is not good and by the time you respond with the vehicle is sold or you tell us you just do not have time to look at the vehicle because your working two jobs and trying to care for you disabled husband, this is a classic case of a person who is blaming a business for not being compliant when they provided every possible option for their client but the client was not happy with nothing.

I also want to add that our company is normally paid up front for the services that a client is requesting and in this case the client basically begged us to not charge her up front as she just didnt have the funds available she she was waiting on some kind of life insurance policy they elected to withdraw for her husband so they have funds to purchase a vehicle, I agreed but shared with her that if for any reason she backed out that out company would charge her for any time we put into the deal as stated on our wed site that she reviewed and sign the online contract.
This is a classic case of defamation of character and I intend to get an attorney involved because we as a company have a very strong A+ reputation and this woman is wrongfully lying about the real truth of what took place.
