  On March 30,2024 I called zoom drain for a sump pump replacement She said I would have to pay a 250 Dollar emergency fee which was fine The tech replaced my old sump pump with a 2/3 horse power pump in less than one hour and charged 830 dollars The pump installed cost 250 at most and the rest was for one hour of labor Which equals 580 dollars for one hour of labor The tech took advantage of my older age and over charge me to the tune of 330 dollars which I he knew I was elderly and price gauged me to the tune of 330 dollars I plan on filling a complaint with the BBB in ***** and taking the company to small claims court and will ask the court to make the company accountable to and find the company guilty of price gouging an elderly man because they had me over a barrell and took advantage of me simply because they good. That is not the way ***** family businesses do business If you need plumbing assistance call *********************** plumbing which is a father and son ***** business that does excellent work at a fair price I hope the court and the ***** BBB can agree with me and make zoom drain to refund at least $330 dollars that they over charged me just because they could.That is not the ***** way for ***** family businesses should do business ******************* 51 ***************************************** ******* ***** *****

  I'm sorry you feel this way. Our prices are Flat Rate. The technicians have no say in what the price is, they simple offer the options that would best fix the issue at hand. The price would be the same for any person or business.

  I think its fair to tell you why I wont be recommending Zoom Drain in *****. First, let me state the positive - the worker was a nice guy to talk to. We spent quite a lot of time discussing old houses before he started the job. But two things prevent my recommendation. 1. I told him I would separate him from my dogs when he stated he didnt like dogs. That worked for awhile. I did assure him the dogs are friendly. But he was in and out of the house and one of my dogs was confused be being put out and brought in repeatedly. So instead I went outside when the worker went out. My dog was in the yard and when she came towards us he kicked at her. I then swiped at her and took her inside. In my mind there is no excuse for kicking a dog who showed no sign of aggression. I would never rehire a company that allows that to happen. 2. The worker opened the septic cover and told me the problem was a full tank. I immediately called my regular septic service. The worker assured me there was not a clogged drain. When I asked if he could use a camera or some other process in the drain he told me it wouldnt be worth it. After he left my septic service arrived and asked me to run water while they watched the drain into the tank. Nothing came through. They then said there was a plug and using the suction from their truck they removed the plug within seconds. So I paid your worker for telling me there wasnt a plug, whereas if he had completed the review of the situation he would have been able to fix the problem, and I wouldnt have had to pay two separate companys bills. I hope you can see that I have two legitimate reasons not to recommend Zoom Drain - one, attempted abuse of a clients pet and two, a failure to adequately assess and solve the problem for which they were hired.

  Amazing from start to finish! The service was provided within hours of my call. The same day! The tech quickly confirmed the problem, explained exactly what he was going to do to resolve it, and set about doing exactly that. He explained everything he did in ******** terms. He updated us on the cost of each step he was about to undertake. There was never any doubt about exactly what he was going to do or how much it was going to cost. In under two hours he had cleared the blockage, and water was flowing smoothly through the system. What a relief! He and his associate, who had only been with Zoom Drain two months, worked well together. She smoothly retrieved and set up whatever equipment he needed and returned it to the truck equally efficiently, making the process unfold smoothly and quickly. Both were professional, patient, knowledgeable, and friendly - exactly the right combination of qualities. I recommend Zoom Drain unreservedly and would call them again in a heartbeat if I needed any of the services they provide.
