I put a deposit down for a puppy on 11/8/2022 $500. then paid the balance including charm school on 2/27/2023 $3,250. we had arranged with the breeder from ***** to meet and pickup puppy at 9am 4/2/2023 she was staying in a hotel in *******, ** & delivering puppies to different states. The night before we were to pickup our puppy we'd been looking forward to & excited I received a text from the breeder stating the puppy was very sick with a significant ear infection her ear all red inflamed right after having a vaccine (which I knew nothing about) and now she said it is really, really bad with several crying *****'s, she said poor girl hurts bad. See documents uploaded.I asked that she take puppy to vet 12 minutes away from her location to be evaluated and treated she did not. Then in the next text message she changed up her whole story saying it wasn't an ear infection she had red open sores all over her ear from? Her and I spoke at 6:30am Sunday morning 4/2/2023 she had not taken our puppy to a vet, instead letting the puppy suffer until Monday when she finished delivering other puppies to *********** and took to her vet. After very careful thoughts I told her in that call I decided to pass on the puppy and when she returns to ***** to kindly return all of my $3,750. she said okay and thank you.A half hour later she sent me a text message please see all uploaded documentation I will be mailing to your ************** to kindly upload. There are several bad reviews on a website revdex, with similiar issues many complaints, where she has not returned clients monies.Today is May 25, 2023 and so far have not received any money back from Log Cabin Labradoodles.I have written a letter to them on April 13,2023 please see in uploaded documents. This is very bad business practice not healthy for me, the puppies on anyone. Her website is not current & I have no idea if she's breeding the puppy, sold the puppy or puppy died. Please help me get this resolved & $$ back.

"No matter how flat you make a pancake there are ALWAYS two sides"

In replying to this complaint I have written multiple sentences and hit delete as I knew it didn't sound nice.  The facts are the facts.  Said puppy had a terrible ear infection.  Something that came on quickly but was 100% treatable and treated.  This sweet adorable loving puppy was on the mend within 3 days of seeing my vet.  I did choose to bring her back to ***** to have her treated at my vets suggestion.  He knows her.  He knew how she had been loved and cared for her whole life to date.  He was the best one to treat her.  Not the vet that this family wanted me to take her to.  The same vetrinarian company that she claims killed her other labradoodle by over medicating her.  That was a HUGE red flag for me.  They wanted me to rush my sweet puppy to a company that they just took to court (and lost) for over medicating a full grown dog and they claim the dog lost her life because of it.  I believed them so when they demanded me to take my sweet puppy there I was on high alert.  That was NOT happening.  I did have some medicated ear wash with me as labradoodles are prone to ear infections and if anyone has ever owned one they would know that, so I (with medical advice) used that and it gave the puppy relief.  As a matter of fact the next morning when we had the phone conversation I even stated that the puppy was doing very well and was active, slept all night and even ate her meals normally.

In no way do I intend to keep this family's money.  This sweet baby is still alive and doing amazing and I only mention this due to the last few sentences written in this complaint.  I even offered to bring her back to them after I treated the ear infection which cleaned up quickly and nicely.  The soars were from her scratching at her ear on our trip to ************* (4 hours) and with a little cream those cleaned up nicely and quickly as well.

We will 100% follow our policy we have had in place for 13 plus years when rehoming a puppy.  The monies we receive from this sweet baby will go directly to the first family as soon as that happens. I am NOT keep this puppy for breeding purposes nor did I ever plan to.  That statement was ludicrous!!  This puppy is thriving and doing well.

As far as repayment for the training program we did that is never refundable.  That is a service offered.  It was completed.  This family gave up on a beautifully behaved 13 week old puppy with little to no hesitation.  Should I accuse them of not being excited or wanting to care for a puppy like they accused me of possibly killing or "stealing" a puppy from them.  I would never do such a thing.  I guess some of this is on me for not properly heeding some warning signs from the beginning.  Like an email I received asking me to be sure their new puppy didn't bark because their current dog (Beacon) did and it drove them nuts.  Dogs bark!  I also hand picked this precious girl for them when so many other people ahead of them wanted her.  I wanted to help bring love back into their lives as they had just lost one of their dogs.  Silly me.

So bottom line is they will get their funds back just as soon as "***************" has a loving furever home.  This has always been our policy and will continue to be.  We are currently working with a few families now.......

My response to the business and to the BBB is that the breeder ********************* told me she was working with a family back on May 2nd, well over a month ago, same story as she is telling us now. We can not see that she has updated her website for well over a year and we cannot see that she is trying to sell this puppy anywhere.
This has been going on since April 1, 2023 she has $3,750.00 of our money and has not returned one ***** to date. For all I know the dog could have died or is still ill and no one wants a sick puppy. Or she is keeping the puppy for future breeding or has sold it and not returned our money.
I live on social security and I am disabled. This is so wrong of that business.

Im not 100% sure what site is being looked at but mine has most certainly been updated more recently then over a year ago. As a matter of fact once in May and once in June.
      I do not understand.
We are most definitely working to get the funds back that we owe.
please stop accusing us of wrong doing with the sweet pup. Never ever did I say you killed your Monet girl even though you lost the lawsuit in court against the very same veterinarian company you wanted me to take this girl to for an ear infection. That is wrong of you to do.
again we will follow protocol that has been in place for many years. You WILL get the monies owed!
      Have a great afternoon.

I am rejecting this business response for the following reasons:

The owners just recently updated website with many more puppies for sale.
NO sign of her even trying to find a buyer for the sick puppy we were advised to pass on, as we informed her via phone conversation back 4/2/2023.
If it was a healthy sweet puppy we do not understand why she has not returned our $3,750.00 she has been saying this now for nearly 3 months.
This is not good business practice.
They need to do the right thing and return our money and stop being so vicious bringing up the horrific sudden loss of our 3 1/2 year old dog.
Why and what is her point of further hurting people.
They continue to say in writing for  months that they will return our money and they are working with families.
Why has that dog not been advertised on her website? Did they sell her? Keep her as a breeding dog? Is the dog dead or alive or sick and no one wants a sick puppy. This is very unfair and bad business.

As stated several times we will follow all protocols that are set with our business. We are sorry you lost your dog 3 1/2 years ago but thats not on us and clearly not on the veterinarian company you put a lawsuit on and lost. Please stop accusing us of things that didnt or hasnt happened because you dont agree with how we handle rehoming puppies/dogs.
We have communicated with you about how our process works when rehoming a puppy/dog. Its a different process then adopting from both for several reasons.  Just because you dont agree with our process doesnt mean its not there.
Every business has set protocols and policies in place whether it sells shoes or clocks. Horses or dogs.
Also as stated several times you WILL get the proper refund back so we can cut all ties with one another. Trust me we have learned a lot regarding this case and will implement new protocols and procedures when screening prospective future forever families.
No matter how flat you make a pancake theres ALWAYS two sides

Have a nice night and take care.

I have read the business most recent response and I am rejecting it again for the following reasons:
It has now been nearly 4 months that Log Cabin Labradoodles of ***** has been telling ** we will get our monies back and still no refund.
Nor any sign of them trying to sell this puppy who is now nearly 7 months old, if she is still alive?
The business has been telling us since April that they are working with this family and then again we are working with this family, then again and again.
Why would it ever take so long to sell a puppy 3 months young, since April 1, 2023?
I feel bad for anyone else who does business with Log Cabin Labradoodles of ***** and for obvious reasons.
If the business was a good reputable business they would have done the correct thing and returned our money months ago.
We regret that we did not do more research online about them like on a website called REVDEX, it mentions several complaints about the business and clients not getting refunds for various reasons. And when forced to pay back clients they made partial refunds only.
      Please resolve this complaint.
      Thank you very much.
