    on February 26 2024 i purchased 2 tires from ************************ I installed 1 tire on the truck i had and the other one was for a spare. less than *********************************************** ************* . We took the tire to the tire station down the rd from where we got the flat tire and was told the tire was no good. it had bubbles around the outside wall . i took the tire back to ********* tire on February 28th and spoke to a young gentleman who stated a new tire would be in later that day . i left the defective tire there and went to work. A few hours later i got a call from this gentleman stating That ******* at skowhegan tire said they were not replacing the tire . I tried to reason with her that o only had the tire for less then 12 hours and it was defective . She continued to disagree with me. The defective tire is still in their possession and i am seeking a refund for 1 tire

    While I sympathize with ************************, as I stated in 2 separate phone calls with her, if STC had installed the tire and we had done something incorrectly or if it had been a defect I would have absolutely replaced the tire for free however, ************************ did not have the tire installed by my business. ************************ purchased 2 tires and TOOK THEM TO ANOTHER SHOP where her vehicle had already been towed with her 1st flat tire. I also explained to her that I had the tire inspected by the manufacturer and they also found it to not be defective, it had simply been run flat. I offered to replace the tire at cost as a goodwill but ************************ declined and said she would pick the tire up to pursue legal action. STC Tire is not at any fault in this situation. We did not install either of the 2 tires that went flat on her vehicle, on the same wheel, within 24hours.  I explained to her that there is definately a reason why the tire went flat whether it be the valve stem or wheel or that it was not installed correctly but the liability did not fall on STC because again ************************ did not have the tire installed at STC and it was not defective. I do understand why ************************ is upset but I feel she is putting the blame on the wrong business/person, $160 is alot of money and it is certainly disappointing but I do not feel responsible to replace a tire that WAS NOT installed by my company and then destroyed by runnning it flat- especially considering it was the second tire on the same wheel within 24 hours. Her reciept reflects that she only purchased the tires from STC and we did not install them- there are no charges for mount, balance, disposal or a road hazard warranty. I hope ************************ can find out why her tires keep going flat and pull over before they are destroyed.

    i had another tire put on without any issue and is still on my vehicle to this day . ***** said they would replace it and it wasnt till i left the defective tire at STC and went to work ,  I got the call from *******  saying they wouldnt replace it . ******* also spoke to **** at the place that installed the tire and he verified their work was not the reason for the tire being destroyed
