September of 2023 I gave *** **** $10,000 as a downpayment toward site work on my property to ready it for my new mobile home. I closed on the property on 2/1/2024, and shortly after that he received the remaining $16,000. I had nowhere to live or I could have pressed him to fix these things before he was fully paid, which seems like a mistake now. When we discussed the slab for the mobile home, I informed him that it needed to be 1 foot longer on each side to accommodate the mobile home, but it was 1 foot shorter than it needed to be, so there is a gap now where animals can climb under my mobile home. I've already had to put bait stations for the rats that have moved in under my house. The other major problem is that he built a very tall gravel pad for my mobile home to go on. It is an erosion nightmare. Not only am I not able to walk around the end of my house because there is a 16 foot cliff there, the edge of my concrete slab is hanging over the cliff. There is nothing underneath it. Because he has continued to promise me he is "on his way", or "someone will be there this weekend", it has prevented me from planting because I didn't want whatever I planted to get destroyed when he dumped a bunch of dirt down. The stairs on the North side of my house are starting to fall apart because there has been so much erosion. I've started having trouble closing doors on the end of my house that is nearest to the gravel drop off. Soon, without repair, my slab is going to crack. And then there will be nothing protecting my house from falling down the hill. It's a horrific mess. He has admitted that these issues are his responsibility to fix. He has promised me over and over that he is coming out to fix them. But, now he again will not answer the phone or reply to any of my text messages. I am on disability, and I cannot afford to repair his catastrophic mistakes.
