    Starting date of transaction was August 2024 and they held the car til roughly February of 2025 Methot automotive claimed it needed a new motor and charged $2600 for a new motor and for an inspection sticker.The shop could not fix an oil leak and they stated they would pay to have it fixed at another shop. it was brought to another shop that reported that the car should not have passed inspection. Quoting $6577.77 to have it safe enough to pass inspection. In all Methot automotive charged for fixes that should not have been made and were asked not to be made unless it would get a legal inspection sticker. Methot held the car for 6 months causing me to pay for insurance and other upkeep and gave an illegal inspection sticker.

    I dropped my car off to a mechanic named **** who worked at Methot Auto Services, my car had no heat and after diagnosing it he quoted me $250 for the repair of the blower motor. **** has done tons of work to my car and is very trusted. but yesterday 12/18/24 I received a call from "****" who stated that my car was finished and although the original agreed upon price was 250 the price now was 366 dollars and change. Along with this **** informed me that Methot Auto Services no longer accepts credit or debit cards cash only. I reached out to **** to find out what was going on and come to find out he no longer worked there and none reached out to me about that or to inform me that the price of the service had changed. also I was never informed that I could not pay using a card prior to dropping it off. To do this so close to the holidays seems very grimy and calculated, they no doubt know people need their cars to go see family and they can avoid taxes if they take cash only. on the 3 prior occasions I have left my car there i have paid with a card.
