    In early October of 2023 I contracted with B&B Builders to demolish an old garage, pour a 3-4" topper on the cement slab, and rebuild the garage. To date I have paid them $31,800 (3/5ths of the agreed upon price), and in return they knocked down the old garage and poured a very poor quality cement topper that had to be reworked. The garage was to be completed by Christmas of 2023. They had every excuse pushing out, and pushing out. Finally once spring came and there was no possibility of a weather issue, I forced them to give me a start date. They failed to meet this and gave me another. I told them if they missed it, I was done and I wanted my money back. They failed again to meet the next start date they provided. When I requested my money back they claimed they could not do that as they had already purchased the materials and it had been more than 90 days and they could not return them. They claimed to have all of the framing materials for the garage and would bring them to me. Delays ensued as they claim to have been out of state working on a chimney. They sent me pictures of said chimney - however the location data of the photo's say it was taken in ********, *****. Finally at the end of June they brought 3 small load of materials worth approx. $3400 retail. They claimed they had 2 more loads to bring, but delayed again for 3 weeks. Some of the materials were date stamped by the manufacturer 45 days before they delivered them at the end of June. They obviously lied about having them for more than 90 days before April when I asked for my money back. They brought one more load worth about $800 in late July. I had to hire another contractor to complete the work at considerable effort and extra expense. B&B refuses to communicate with me. I have asked for the remainder of my money back. I have filed a police report with ****** **. I estimate they did work or provided materials worth about $11,500 vs. the $31,800 I paid them.
