Company was hired to install heat pump. When the company was giving a quote on the cost they indicated that an electric panel upgrade was necessary in order to install heat pumps and that they subcontracted with an electrician to get the work done. Quote included a total amount for an upgraded panel along with the heat pump installation. The heat pumps were fine, but they did not have the electrician do an electric panel upgrade, they did a bypass, and pocketed the extra money. They didn't offer to refund for the difference, they did offer for the electrician to come back out and do the panel upgrade after I was very upset that the work that we paid them to do was not completed. That was over 3 months ago and now there is a nonresponse. At this point I no longer trust this company and want the difference back for the service/work that I was charged for and NOT provided. I called 4 different electricians in the area each of them were in the range of $70-$90 an hour, or $2400-$2600 for a panel upgrade. We were told we HAD to do the panel upgrade for any service for heat pumps, and then they pocketed the extra money.

I was charged $**** for electrical work that was not completed. They shortcutted the work and an electrical panel is still needed. This was supposed to be completed at the time of hire, they decided not to have the panel completed without prior authorization or communication to me. At this point I have disputed $2,000 with my credit card company as I have proof the electrician was not there longer then 4 hours. My house has cameras as well as I had someone come in and check on the work being done, who indicated they were done before noon after starting a little after 8. I've contacted 4 electricians in the area all indicating a panel would be in the range of 2400-2700 which is well within the **** quote they gave me. Those same electricians also indicated that the hourly rate would be $75-$95. $500 is more then enough to cover the time of 4 hours worth of work. I will continue disputing the $2000 with my credit card company, and will ensure that I never use this company for any future work they are not trustworthy. The dumb part is the panel would be needed to do the first floor worth of heat pumps, which they knew we were going to do in the up coming year. Now they will be out the business because they chose to take shortcuts and be dishonest.

Businesses and Customers should be civil, courteous and polite in their responses to complaints. It is important to remain professional and productive when participating in the BBB complaint process.
