I live in a large apartment building in ****. We are required by the management company to follow certain rules on snowy days. There are 9 parking spots in the handicap parking lot. On snow days we are expected to have our cars cleaned off and moved out of the parking lot so the snowplow company can quickly and efficiently plow our parking lot. Along comes Maine Flooring Connection, a truck hauling a long trailer plus another person driving a van. The handicapped parking lot is not large by any means and just those three extra large vehicles made it very difficult for the tenants. I mentioned to the person in the van that we were moving all our vehicles so the parking lot could be plowed. They did nothing. The **** company told myself and another tenant if we could get the flooring people to move, he would come right over to plow for us. We relayed that message to the driver of the large truck and storage(?) trailer. His response was to argue with us."Where am I supposed to park?" Not our concern. Our concern was to get our parking lot plowed so none of us with mobility issues or handicaps would fall on our way to or from our vehicles. Everything he said was all "me, me, me". He did not care that he was parked illegally in a handicapped parking lot and was very verbal and disrespectful in his argument that his job was top priority. Our welfare was not his concern. He made that very clear. After we told him the police were waiting to hear if the vehicles had moved out of our parking lot, the one in the truck who claimed he was the owner of the business made the right decision and moved. What is wrong with a business, that has their business information written all over the trailer, that they would rather argue with a couple of disabled senior citizens than to do the right thing? To argue so disrespectively with two elderly women that just wanted to get their parking lot plowed to make it safer under foot? Disgraceful behavior by this business.
