Rating should be NO STARS because of the care our 2 golden doodles received over a 3 day stay. I had been bringing my 2 pets there for about 3 months or so and had no issues. On June 28, 2024 we dropped them off that morning for a 3 day stay. We picked them up on June 30, 2024 at about 4pm. When we had gotten home our oldest doodle was throwing up with ****** diarrhea. We also discovered once he was settled that he had bruising on the underside of him in the creases of his front and back legs, private area. He refused to drink water etc, but especially water like he was afraid of it, this made us wonder if he had drunk something there that had made him sick. We tried to reach out to the owners and no response back from them. We later noticed the little one was acting strange not wanting to drink either. We checked him for bruising and he had the same bruising in the same area. I had also put a call in to their veterinarian for an emergency appointment Monday morning and gave details on message. It got worse as the days went on and we were in and out of the veterinarians' office, emergency hospital, for hydration, bloodwork multiple times in that week with a total of ********* not knowing if our pets were going to survive whatever this was or how it happened while in their care. I reached out to animal control which for some reason didn't go the day I was talking with her even though she said she was on her way over there right now she actually never went until a week later. This was not what I expected either lack of enforcing animal rights from an officer who took an oath to do so. The key is my pets were in Pride and Joy Kennels care but there is no responsibility taken by them. Copper and ****** were perfectly fine when they were dropped off and this is what we came back to. I did eventually speak with(****) husband of the owner he had no reasonable explanations for what happened and honestly didn't seem that bothered by it. So SHAMEFUL of this business.
