      Contracted with business for home improvement work. Work began 4/1/2024 and is still not completed. Were told project would take 8-10 weeks. Business never followed the contract. Never provided a timeline or cost updates. Never acquired our signatures on work orders, thereby leaving us in dark. The project manager assigned to us by ********* -- **** ****** -- turned out to be scamming his employer and, by extension, us. He ordered the wrong cabinets for our kitchen and proceeded to put them up in the wrong place. That was mostly corrected. He had us order a fireplace insert that sat on our living floor for 5 months only to discover, upon attempting the install, to be the wrong type. **** ******* then admitted that his company couldn't install what we had and pretty much threw up his hands. We fired ********* Contracting on 12/23/2024. We have an unfinished staircase, two unfinished bathrooms, and, of course, the fireplace to still finish. Add to that a myriad of errors that need to be fixed. And this is after 9 months.This is a shabbily run company and DOES NOT deserve an A+ BBB rating. Attaching that rating to this business reflects very badly on BBB. ********* Contracting will claim that we made too many changes to the project and that's what caused the delays. We did make several changes, but that doesn't explain the ridiculously long delays. The presence of **** ****** does. **** ******* wasn't in the least bit sympathetic about our issues until he and one of his partners came to our condo on 08/05/2024. They were shocked by how little progress had been made on our renovation, but were generally unmoved. The proof is that 5 months later we still have an unfinished project.Please know that ********* Contracting no longer has a presence on Lafayette Rd in ***, **. That had been their showroom and is now Seacoast Kitchen and Bath, a business with no public face or internet presence. ********* still operates out of ****, **.
