    I booked a room at the hotel starting from August 20th through August 26th. I paid in full when I checked in on the 20th. I noticed a cockroach on Wednesday the 23rd and brought it to the front desk's attention but they were unwilling to move me to another room. Then I noticed bed bugs on Thursday the 24th. Before I could get bring it to the attention of the front desk, there was a city wide power outage. With no power/wifi for me to be able to work, with my food in the refrigerator now spoiling, and in the dark in a room with cockroaches and bed bugs, I checked out early. I went to the front desk before 11AM on Friday the 25th and confirmed with them that I was checking out then and cancelling my last night there. But I haven't received any refund or compensation.

    I wanted to share a little review of the terrible experience we had at the days inn in ************ on Saturday.This was literally the worse hotel I have ever attempted to stay in. We first pulled in and the hotel looked pretty shady. But we gave them the benefit of the doubt and continued to go see out room. While parking behind the building I walked inside to find our room so we would know where to park. The wife and mother in law parked next to a truck and there was people inside the back of the truck getting drunk and urinating next to the truck by a tree. They were also whistling and hollering at the wife and mother in law. We then moved and parked somewhere else. When we got to the room the door was not latched all the way and when trying to close it, it needed to be slammed really hard to close. Then I noticed an outlet plug that was gutted and the ceramic on the plug was missing. This would be a shocking/fire hazard, I then noticed there also was no smoke detector because it was removed. I then inspected the back sliding door and the lock was removed/missing, so there was no way to lock the sliding door and thus was a first floor room. Definitely not ok. After so many issues we decided it was unsafe to stay in this room for the night, we decided to go to the front desk and see what could be done. There was no kne there and we waited for a half an hour with multiple other guests that were also waiting. The man at the desk was very rude to the wife, and then yelled at the mother in law and when I spoke up he asked who was talking and that my name was not on the reservation so he couldn't speak to me and told me that there was one floor and one mic, and to shut up. He told us that there is nothing he could do, that we could contact the manager in the morning. So we call ******* and they tried to help us and they couldn't do anything and said we had to contact the hotel manager. Check in November 5th 2022. No resolution.
