Received a letter in the mail saying my *** loan was flagged and qualifies for additional benefits. It said it could defer mortgage payments, lower the monthly mortgage bill, refund our escrow and says we could possibly receive 15,710$ cash. The name on the outside of the envelope is the name of my own lending company NOT Texana Bank. This is misleading to the point it should be a crime. This was sent with the sole intention of misleading us into what is likely a high interest loan. My mother in law who lives with us has schizophrenia and early signs of dementia. If she were the one to open this and read it she would have gotten excited and likely gone into a manic phase thinking she was getting a bucket full of cash. The people working at Texana Bank should be ashamed of themselves for business practices that border on criminality with the intention of preying on seniors and the mentally disabled.

I am continuing to be contacted by Texana bank via text and phone calls about a property I have no affiliation with. I have asked why I am being contacted, and asked to be removed from the list, but today I received a call again from a person who claimed to be a Loan Officer and asked me about my interest in refinancing a mortgage I don't have. The Loan Officer said that the company's calling system had my name and number associated with the property address, but had no details about how or why. When I asked about speaking to a supervisor or fraud department, the loan officer hung up on me. I called Texana Bank directly, and there appears to be a two companies, one called Texana Bank that is a retail bank, and one called Texana Bank Mortgage that is a lending company. Apparently Texana Bank has only 1 phone number with which to contact Texana Bank Mortgage, which no one answers and the voicemail is full. There appears to be no fraud department for either the retail or mortgage sides of the business, and no supervisors or managers at either business are willing to take ownership, so I am left talking to bank tellers for the retail side who have no idea how to contact the Mortgage side of the business, and who have no information whatsoever about their fraud prevention practices. I find it incredibly bizarre that a bank would not have a fraud department, and concerning that a lending company would have cold call practices with no way to contact the company and no fraud line available even during business hours.
