      I have College Hunks to remove things out of my deceased mother's house on or about May 17th. They broke door k*** after getting the couch stuck on it and proceeded to try to jam it out the door, I witnessed this with my own eyes from the basement but did not know it was broken. I paid them and they left I did not know the door k*** was broken. They left and said we'll close the door as the rest of us wee still downstairs cleaning out the home. When my brother arrived he could not enter the door, You could not open it at all from the out side. I called to inform them and the one guy tried to deny it. I said I was standing right there and saw the couch on the doorknob. As I explained to them I did not live in ********, no one lives in the house and this needed to be corrected asap. The franchise owner said he would come and change the lock, which he did after much back and forth but the lock he installed does not latch correctly leaving the home open to a break in. He stated he was coming back the following Tuesday May 20th or so and then we never heard from him. He was not returning phone calls. I have contacted the corporate office with little to no assistance because they are saying he is a franchisee. I have requested 1/2 of my money back plus my tip given to the workers because they tried to lie about the breaking the door.

      We are sorry that a door k*** was broken during your service.  This was obviously an accident and wasn't noticed by the crew members at the time of service.  The service provided was to remove unwanted items which was completed.  The unfortunate accident was addressed with impeccable timing.  Very few companies would have the capabilities or willingness to get this corrected in such a timely manor.  We had a supervisor come out to the house, assess the damage, locate a replacement and install the replacement all within hours of this happening.  The replacement was installed exactly as the previous handle.  The correspondence was handled with your brother, at the home, as you are not local.  We also came back out to the house, as promised, and adjusted the handle.  Everything was done professionally and timely.
