      I contacted Green Built Roofing a month ago due to multiple issues with an installed roof that was pointed out by an insurance ***. ***** are nails popping up out of the roof, the ridge vent is not correctly nailed to the roof, there are multiple spots where there looks to be no flashing used and multiple spots where the roof is wavy. I was told that the spots where the roof is wavy were due to a problem with the underlayment. I was asked if the installer ***laced any underlayment, I said well I "paid" for multiple sheets of underlayment to be used in trouble spots, but after the job was finished, the sheets of underlayment were loaded up on their trailer, and taken, even though I paid for them. The insurance *** could not believe that the roof was only 5 years old.I contacted Green Built Roofing as we were told there was a warranty, and I was told that a service order was created and " someone should be in touch with you shortly in regards to this matter" Well that was a month ago and I have reached out several time since then with no ***ly.

      The Customer reached out to the office with his concern for the ridge cap that looks like it had lifted from install. My installation Manager went to the home and performed an inspection on the entire roof. He reported back to the office with his findings. He stated that it look like the cap had started to lift and a couple shingles have dog eared. 

      The Install Manager clipped a couple of the shingles, and put a service in for a couple other small maintenance items.

      We apologize for any Inconvenience we may have caused. There has been a tremendous amount of damage created from the recent tornadoes in the portage area. 

      When we were notified of the customers concerns we sent out the installation manager to perform an inspection. The Install Manager Concluded that there was not enough damage to file claim with the insurance company, The Ridge Cap & Vent did lift due to the excessive wind. The install manager Nailed the pealed cap down and reported back to the office. There was not enough damage on  the roof for the manufacturer to void the warranty for any reason.

      I am rejecting this response because: Part of the complaint that was files was that the roof, in multiple spots is wavy. The installation manager who came onsite noted that and said that the sheeting and shingles would need to be replaced. This is not an issue with the product itself and would require a claim with the manufacturer but an issue with the installation as the sheets of plywood that I paid for were not used to correct issues on the roof. When the job was done, the sheets of plywood, that I paid for, were loaded up by the installed and taken. This was clearly a installation issue as the materials they had on hand were not used. Now there are clear visual signs that issues with the roof decking were not addressed and now are causing the roof to be wavy in multiple spots. If there were issues with the roof decking why was the decking material that I paid for not used, or way was I not informed that there were issues that would require additional materials. Your installers installed the roof on a roof deck that needed to be repaired in spots, they had the materials to do so, they just made the choice not to and now the roof clearly shows that.

      Green Built Roofing is certified by the Shingle Manufacture "GAF" Because we are certified we install a "weather stopper system plus warranty" for all of our customers. This system allows our customers to take advantage of an extended manufactures warranty because of our certification. The roof was installed 5 years ago. The manufacturer extended warranty kicked in after the second year of installation. 

      We came out and performed an inspection and made some minor repairs. The customer did not feel that was adequate. The customer now has the option to file a warranty claim with the manufacturer "***". They will come out and perform inspection and if they feel it is a shingle defect they will pay to have it fixed. If the *** thinks its a installation issue in most circumstance they will pay to have it fixed. 

      To the best of my knowledge the roof is not leaking. If the manufacturer thinks there is a problem it will most definitely get addressed.

      This is where we are at with this. 

      The customer was provided all of this information after the installation was complete.

      July of 2022 Green Built replaced our flat roof with 3SQ rubber roof. We paid him in full for the amount of $2,877.00. We later discover there was a spot on the roof that isn't level. Water stands there almost all of the time. The rest of the roof we are very happy with. I have called/texted the owner several times over the last 4 months. 1st he was totally ignoring my calls/texts He finally returned a text stating he was trying to get a crew together to correct the problem. 2 gentlemen came out to see what the problem was, they reported back to the owner about the dip in the roof that was holding water.. I haven;t heard a word from him since. It is now coming into winter and the problem isn't resolved. The invoice # **** ***** ******* was my contact person at 1st, but he left the company. I have a copy of the contract if needed. I just want this company to do the right thing and repair the roof

      I have submitted this information prior to this I do not Know if it was received.

      We went out and did an inspection on the flat roof and it in sound, Sealed and watertight. With flat roofing it is not common for there to be pounding water. The product installed on the roof is warranted against ponding water. 
      The home is a very old home and has its imperfections. The roof is water tight since install and we have had "0" Leaks.

      We have explained this to the customer multiple times. We have a lifetime install warranty on our work. We will always be here to take care of any problem should one arise.
