    On 11/2 I was grocery shopping at ALDI and utilized the self scan option (there is only 1 lane that is not self checkout). I went to pay with my debit and the transaction didn't seem to go through and the Uscan stayed on the pay screen so I put my card in a second time. We'll, after this second time it still stayed on the payment screen again, i flagged down for some assistance and let them know their machine was malfunctioning. I was concerned that I was going to be double charged. I ran as debit so I pulled up my bank account and sure enough I had 2 charges for my total ($178.87). I was of course upset that i had 2 charges for this amount as it was clearly because their u scan malfunctioned. They went and got the store director. The store director had to override the machine to print out my receipt and I showed him my bank account transaction with the double charge and they told me I'd have to call their customer service line to get this refunded and there was nothing they could do in the store to fix it. I wanted a quick resolution as I live paycheck to paycheck much like most America. I called their customer service line while still in the store and they are closed on weekends! I had to wait until Monday (11/4) to report the issue and send proof of my purchase and screen shot of my bank account proving the double charge. My case was accepted and then went through the investigation period which was completed on 11/8 after I still didn't not have a refund and called to complain that this is the worst customer service i have ever experienced-they offered me a $50 gift card "so i could get some food if i was short on money". My email on 11/8 said they would refund my money due to their erroneous charge -it said I can take 7-10 business days for the return of MY money. It's now nearly 2 weeks that I've been double charged and still do no have my money back. This process is completely unacceptable.
