Purchased a brand new 2024 Silverado 1500. At ****** miles and still under warranty the valve body has failed. The dealership told me it was safe to continue driving it in limp mode and with hard shifting, because the part is on back order. I wasn't offered a loaner or a rental as a safe replacement. Called around to other dealerships and there is a valve body in stock 97 miles away. The dealership said I would need to bring the truck to them for service but the truck will no make it there.I called General Motors and they said they would expedite the process and call the dealer to see if they would give me a loaner to use. I told them they part I needed was 97 miles away and it would be great if they could ship it to my local dealer. No response from them and I haven't heard anything from the dealer. Called ** back today and all they told me was that the part was still not in and they're sorry I'm experiencing these issues. No help from them whatsoever. There is a company online who sells an upgraded replacement part but if I go that route it will void the vehicle warranty. The transmission has most likely already been damaged and at this point it's out of my hands. I haven't been able to work in a month now, and I'm sure many other business owners are in the same boat.I really hope consumers come here and read these reviews before purchasing a *****. I will never purchase from ** again and I will let everyone I speak with know what I've experienced.

Bought a brand new truck. Second oil change I have them look into a brake squeak. Thinking it may just be break in noise. The dealer informs me the brakes are 100% in spec and there is a service bulletin that states new materials used in the brake manufacturing can cause flash rust and the truck will squeak with cold brakes. Im sorry but I didnt just buy a 75k truck for it to squeak. They also inform me I can spend 200$ to have an anti squeak procedure done through bg products. This would help the squeak but gm wont pay for it to be put on. Ill be taking my vehicle buying to another company.

One star because complaint required one to be selected. ** customers should know that if their vehicle is damaged during a safety recall ***air, they will be responsible for the damage. Bought truck and had recall ***aired. For 2 years ** sent harassing letters & cards. Called numerous times, had 3 way calls with dealership and they continued to the point of assigning my "case manager" in 2025. ****** called and insisted I have ***aired again. She was so sorry for the hours and hours I had spent trying to resolve issue, but I needed to have air bag safety recall ***aired again. Same dealership did the ***air and broke my dash. They tried to lie and say already broken, had proof it wasn't. Then they said "card said it could be damaged"- another lie. Called **. Supposedly had "team reviewing". Dragged on with several phone calls saying dealership said. Then start getting emails from "*******" customer service--very rude (Would set her alarm to call me 5/12, watch for my call). At 4:52 pm I call, the *** who took call said she wasn't supposed to call until Wed. More tactics to wear me down. When ******* finally called 5/27 said the "investigating team" determined "it is documented vehicle can be damaged during safety recall ". After 2 years of harassments to have safety recall done for the second time, driving over an hour -60+ miles one way 3 times, I have a broken dash and no longer one of **'s "customer satisfaction 100% guaranteed.

I purchased a 2021 Tahoe on 12/7/24. Had ****** miles. On 1/7/25 water pump blew. Followed by transmission and suspension issues. Dropped vehicle at shop on 4/**** contacted 4/25 to file complaint as parts were backordered with no ETA.Was told reimbursement would be mailed by 5/28 for first payment and second would be approved by 5/28 if parts were not yet in. Of course parts did not come in. I was told to file lemon law with BBB. Emailed GM on 6/10 no answer.Emailed GM again on 6/18 finally received response today, advising to contact BBB when lemon law was already denied same day on 5/27. Almost 3 months with no car or reimbursement or even a rental as substitution. Spent over an hour on the phone again with GM today to be told they cant do anything because lemon law was file and reimbursement wasnt promised. This is the 4th ***** Ive owned. Completely unacceptable for a reoccurring and loyal customer.

I have a truck thats got less than 60k miles on it, replaced lifters once already with the upgraded ones from **. They are already giving the ticking noise of needing replaced again. ** has know about this issue and also the transmission issue, never have they wanted to help a consumer out to warranty any of this. Its a joke, they lost a life long customer. Ill be buying **** next.

I have been waiting nearly 10 months for a reimbursement for a tow bill. The repair ended up being a warranty repair under the Emissions Warranty coverage. Once every two weeks I get this email from them RE: Thank you for contacting GMC, “ Hello Mr. ***, I hope all is well with you. We are still waiting on approval. Again, I am really sorry for the delay. I will update you again in the next few days Have a great Evening! ***** GMC Customer Assistance

I have a 2015 and a 2017 Silverado and both have the same problem with the radio. You can not use the touch screen at all and the radios both will change channels on there own. No dealerships around will fix the problem. Many complaints on the Internet with the same issue.

2017-2018 Chevrolet Trax has a known turbo charge issues. I own 2019 Chevy Trax for the last 60 days my check engine light has turned and off on its own, the vehicle is that knocking sound. On 4/27/2025 I am driving on the highway doing 55 mph and the vehicle begin to slow down. I had to pull over turn off the car for several minutes which is unsafe on a major highway. I paid for vehicle diagnostic that determined P0299 which means turbo charge is not flowing sufficient air which resulted in vehicle not excelerate, SAME issue as 2017-2018. I spoke with someone at GMC on 5/5 explained my issues, I was told oh yes your vehicle has special coverage just to find out today the special coverage is for a Valve intake. I called back to GMC just to be told we do not have your case created for you and even though it's a known issue with 2017-2018, the 2019 has not been investigated yet therefore this will be a cost you'll have to pay out of pocket. GMC can offer cost assistance that's all. I've owned 2 Impala, Traverse, Camaro and now a Trax. GMC will not get anyone more of my business. This is unacceptable when they're fully aware the entire TRAX from 2017 going forward will have them same issues. I filed a complaint with NHTSA.

We have two $100k Chevy Tahoe High Country. We received notification of the L87 engine issues that GM was fully aware of but did not disclose when we got into these cars a few years ago. Several accidents and injuries have been caused by engine failure. Our VIN indicates that we need to take the car in to a dealership for the recall. We took one of the vehicles today and the service center informed us that it is critical but they have not been given to remedy to fix it so you can either stop driving the cars we pay for or drive it at your own risk. At least we have paperwork indicating we attempted to fix the issue but GM hasn’t provided a remedy to fix it in the event ours lead to an accident or injury. Luckily ours our leased and the lease ends this summer. Until a few days ago, I planned on leasing two brand new replacements this summer but there is no way I will be doing that since the dealership was nice enough to advise me that the new models will have the same engine. Imagine…. A $100k car that GM sells to customers while knowing of a catastrophic engine issue in order to save a few hundred dollars at production. Then you read all the **** they have out customers through the last few years denying it. How does a lifelong GM lover forgive this??? Why on earth would I buy with GM knowingly puts the cars have the same issue. Looks like I will be taking first leap to another manufacturer this summer for two new cars.
