If you have a choice, I highly recommend finding another facility for you or your loved ones. Unfortunately, my child did not have a choice due to a suicide attempt. My child went into the first place that was open and was transferred to Stone Crest from a hospital that did not have a psych doctor on staff. I was listed on file as a person to release information to. My child called me everyday. On the 3rd day of stay I found out that medication was given. I called and spoke to the staff in which they told me 4 different medications. My child was seen by the psych doctor 36 hours after arriving. The psych doctor immediately diagnosed my child with bipolar after a 10 minute visit. My child was given *******, Lexapro, ****** and Melatonin. All listed as causing drowsiness and sedation. My child was not in due to violence nor was disrespectful to anyone while in there. I think they more so just tag you with a diagnosis and administer medication as a way to charge insurance. Two medications were used for anxiety and the other was a mood medication. Melatonin is a natural sleep pill and can be sold over the counter. My child received medication the same day as the diagnosis was made. The next day during my call, my child was so out of it and tired. I immediately was worried. I called the staff to find out what was given. I immediately printed off a calendar and wrote the drugs down as well as the dose. 72 hours after being given the medication, an increase was made to one. They needed to keep my child for another 72 hours to "monitor". I called and asked to speak to the doctor. I was told the doctor does not call anyone and they asked if I would like to speak to the social worker. Of course I did. The social worker called me the next day and I asked her a ton of questions around the medications and my worry with the medications. I was concerned with the doses. I asked if my child could AMA (against medical advice) and leave. The social worker told me my child could not.

They allow the young adults to have *** and so drugged up they are not sound to make a decision to say no. My granddaughter was violated by a male patient. They won't release her after three weeks and I am getting no phone call back from anyone. Don't send a young adult there that is depressed and has anxiety. I will have to get the law involved if I don't hear anything.
