    On 10-9-2023 I hired Costello Paving to install what they called recycled asphalt, which he stated would get harder than regular asphalt. It was laid down, however, it was stated it would be 3" of recycled product and compacted and a hardner then applied. The pile of recycled delivered was clearly not enough to be 3" coat applied to my entire drive to be compacted. Pieces I have collected are not even 1/2' thick. 3" of product will not compact to 1/2". By eye it is clear that ******* was not applied uniformly by his employee and at this point can not be reapplied with a favorable result. I waited a week to drive on because it was clearly not working as was described by ***. I contacted them in April regarding the situation. I also attempted to contact him thru ******** and leaving messages many times. I believe he blocked me in an attempt to hope I would go away. I was unable to plow my drive this winter because my drive now is nothing but black loose gravel. I was told farmers use this because of its durability. Still to date when it is driven over there are tracks and I cannot sweep or power wash my drive. When my dogs are running it kicks up black gravel all over my cement. Some areas did ****** but majority of my drive is loose gravel and looks very unprofessional and he clearly lied as to the durability of the product. Current reviews on his business shows that he is running a scam. My neighbor had it done too and same situation, loose black gravel. When attempting to sweep gravel below it is dirt so then I have a mess of mud . I am asking for a refund as he clearly is performing a service that does not work. Others are having same issue so he is clearly just scamming people. I am a widow and on a fixed income and will clearly have to have this mess fixed.

    I paid Castello paving of ****** MI cash of $3200 to apply ******** and weed control to my driveway. I was given a five-year guarantee which covered weed spraying on the driveway and fill for low spots. The contract states they were to apply 3 inches of ******** and for the next five years to apply additional mailings and weed control as needed, They will not respond to any correspondence. They refuse to return my calls or honor the written guarantee. I would like to seek a full refund as they did not do the job as stated in the contract.I would like no further contact with this company

    On May 9th, Costello Paving was hired to redo my driveway based on the quote / contract that was given to us. This contract included 10inches of gravel to raise my driveway up, and then 3 inches of crushed asphalt. Costello went over the process with me on the phone prior to doing the work. He said that job would consist of laying down the gravel, oiling it and then pressing it. Then they would lay down the 3 inches of asphalt, oil it, and then press it. The quote was $4000 but we were given a discount in cash, we paid $3800 When I arrived home from a work trip on the 10th. I noticed that the driveway had not been raised, and there was trash pressed into the asphalt. I called *** Costello to discuss the issue. I thought that they had just laid the gravel and left without doing the asphalt, but *** then told me that he did not lay any gravel down. I told him that this was an issue because that was part of the quote, and that the asphalt was supposed to be clean without debris in it. He offered to come over and look at it.A week later *** came back to look at my driveway. He agreed that the asphalt was extremely poor and full of debris. He said he would contact the facility he bought it from and get back to me. After not hearing from him for a week, I called him back. He told me that the place he purchased it from had paid him back for the asphalt, so *** would be coming back that weekend (Memorial Day weekend) to remove the bad asphalt, lay the gravel to raise my driveway and then install the asphalt. The weekend came and went without hearing from Costello Paving. I have since called the company nearly every day, but Costello paving has yet to return any of my calls. I am under the impression that Costello paving was paid twice to do an extremely poor job on my driveway.

    Costello Paving was hired to prep, grade, and repave my driveway (over1/4 mile...( 1639 linear feet by 10') with HM high grade crushed asphalt. My driveway was terribly pitted with dozens of sinkholes, depressions, and potholes which were getting worse over the years due to 8 years of weather. The job goals were explicitly explained by me to the contractor, *** Costello, as we walked and measured the driveway. The contract was signed ($11,500 CASH) and work began 11/27/23 about 0830. One guy showed up with a Bobcat (allegedly the *******) and single handedly "prepped" the drivewayand by midday was spreading the asphalt one bucket at a time with the Bobcat. No asphalt automated box that would have been 1000% better quality. I was assured on multiple occasions that it would be smooth, properly crowned so the water would drain off, and perfect. By day 2, the asphalt spreading was complete. The surface was still terribly uneven, full of holes in the original locations and had a washboard look in places. He said it was compacted with a roller...I never saw any other equipment except the Bobcat. They spread an oil substance on 11/29/23 and we avoided use until the next day. We were shocked to see all the original potholes and depressions which were all holding water as before. They did not grade and compact the existing holes as per the contract. They just placed a new layer of asphalt on top, as if it was supposed to auto-level. How can holes and depressions be graded with a Bobcat? We called immediately with a video and he assured us he would come back out and take care of the issue saying "the customer is always right". He stopped responding to texts, emails and calls on Dec 7, 2023. The driveway is a mess. I have multiple vids and pics for proof.

    Worst business Ive ever seen. BE WARNED!!! You may have to take the company to court! Just know that make sure you get all the documentation and address of the company. They will have you put a check in a persons name not the company. Be aware of what youre getting into get company, documents, warranty, and everything else. The receipt is very vague and all information is too. When the job is done, it will look like you just have a driveway full of dirt. Be careful because that will be difficult when the winter time comes if you have to shovel through that. The rolling doesnt look like it normally does for normal asphalt. When you try to get the touch up and try to get back in touch with them, if the work is already done, you will NEVER be able to. They will block your number if you try to get in touch with them after that because they wont answer and let you go to voicemail as all your text will be Unreal to as well. I know for a fact because they were going to come out after I got my sprinklers moved out of my driveway they paved around and they told me it wouldnt be a big deal. They would patch it up. A lot before the garage is coming apart. Looks like a big pile of dirt as you see in one of the photos that dips in the driveway show the rolling job that was barely done. You can also see the grooves with a tire tread that scuffing up and making big chunks of dirt when the Car is getting ready to go up quick up the driveway. . Now I got three little dirt holes that were covered up by the sprinkler people and that they never moved it. So now I got three spots of dirt. BE WARNED! This is why the company is very inexpensive and your driveway even with the low price compared to other asphalt youre still getting ripped off because of the value that you get and youll never below get with the company again. DO NOT USE COSTELLO!!! BE CAREFUL. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM A L E R T!!!!!!

    On September 15,2023. Costello Paving used recycle asphalt to resurface my driveway. They were also suppose to remote two areas and replace them. Neither of these areas was taken care of. Areas were just covered over with asphalt This was a verbal request of mine when they looked at job. They said they could do them. Many areas had 1/2 inches of asphalt where others had 3-5 inches of asphalt. Also by my service door on garage it asphalt was three or more inches high causing an area for water to pool, thus causing a water issue. The asphalt also had large chunks in it. Some three to four inches in size. Joe stood and was on his phone while the one and only other person did the work. Joe was also gone for over an hour while we waited for him to come back. I did ask about the areas of concern that I mentioned before. I was told Joe would look at them. Was decided to just push asphalt that was there down never removing anything. On Monday Sept 18,2023 I called at 9:00am to let them know I was not satisfied. No answer. I called over six or seven times. Tuesday also no answer Wednesday also no answer. The job looked terrible and not professionally done. I am seeking a full refund of 1,800.00 dollars When I wrote out check Joe asked if it was good. I replied yes funds are there. He immediately packed himself up and I’m sure went straight to bank. I’m a senior citizen who Joe Costello took advantage off. Not good business

    I hired Costellos for a patching job on my driveway. I was quoted 2800.00 and was completed on 14 July 23. it has only been a couple weeks and it is breaking off in chunks, or just piling up on the edges. I have called and left messages, but have not gotten any responses. My driveway is long {3/10th mile]. and being on a fixed income {disabled vet] there is no way i could afford to get it all done. Ive had a probles attaching photos, but i do have many, including the invoice. please let me know if you can help and what my next step would be.
