    We took a VW 4 cylinder engine to him to be rebuilt. Took him months and months to get it back and charged thousands of dollars for the work. The engine developed a loud knock after 300 miles of easy driving. Took it back to him, and it sat for almost 3 months without being touched. When I went to pick it up he wouldn't give it back to me. Went to local police for help and they said they would press charges against him for larceny by conversion if he wouldn't give it back. He ended up giving it back to me. The police said they deal with such complaints about him regularly and they wish they could put him in jail. This guy has done the same thing to so many people. It is mind boggling how he is still in business.

    Rebuilt my Corvette 327 engine. Excessive oil consumption began almost immediately within the warranty period which he never addressed, refused to acknowledge and tried to blame me despite following his break in procedures to the letter. He told me to keep driving it and it would break in. This was followed by loose rocker arms, broken connecting rods, and damaged valve stem, none of which he acknowledged and refused to repair. I had to pay a real mechanic to fix all of it The garbage engine he built finally ate a valve destroying the cylinder wall and one head. So I am worse off than before I ever took my engine to him (no block, down one head). He shouldn't be allowed to be in business as was said already by others.
