While I can't say for sure that this is an outright "scam," it is very predatory. Almost a week to the day after my LLC was registered, I received a letter in the mail from this company. The letter is made to vaguely look like it's from a state agency. It didn't have any seals or logos though so I was suspicious. When you look at the fine print it does disclose that they're not affiliated with any government agency. All those caveats aside, the letter states that you must pay around $87 to receive your Michigan Certificate of Good Standing. This is in fact a real thing you can request yourself from the state for a fee of $10. All this is basically spelled out in the fine print, so I'm not making any accusations that they are doing something illegal, just really sneaky. My guess is if you pay they use the contact information you provide to them to continue pestering you, but again I have not used their services so for legal reasons, this is ony speculation based on the unsolicited mail I received.

********* got a form from them saying that I need to pay $87.50 for a company in good standing form from the *************. Since I always research everything I go onto ***** website and find out that this company has been scamming new businesses into paying a huge fee and stealing information when this form is not something that businesses need and if we do need it we can get it from ***** website for $5. Please watch out for this company. Someone needs to look into them. The *** or someone. They steal all your information from the form and they have your signature also. ************************************************************************************
