On December 15th, I won an auction for a toy truck from this company. The total invoice was $9.12. I called them on the 16th and asked if the small item could be mailed to me because of winter weather and the auction house is 45 minutes from my home. I was told there would be no problem mailing the item, which I explained was a Christmas gift for my 12 year old grandson. They told me that the total cost of the item and shipping would be $22.12, which I paid then with my debit card. The card was charged on the 19th per my bank. The item didn't arrive before Christmas I tried to call them on Dec 26th to find out a tracking number, only to find out that they were closed for the week between Christmas and New Years and they would reopen on the 3rd of January. I sent them a message connected to the item number on my auction win on the 26th of December asking for the tracking number just in case they did go in to their office. I didn't hear back from them, so I called them on the morning of January 3rd to get the tracking number. A woman answered the phone and apparently knew who I was from the caller id, because she didn't ask who I was or what the call was about. The first thing she said was, "I don't have a tracking number for you". She said that the item was missed and it didn't get shipped on time. When I asked her for a date that it was shipped, she told me that her husband had gone in to the office during the week between Christmas and New Years and had mailed it out then and I should get it sometime that week.I got the package on the 4th, and when I saw it, the mail sticker from the post office showed it wasn't mailed until the 3rd of January. I called on the 4th to ask for my shipping amount back and the woman told me that I had basically had free shipping and when I said that I paid more than double for the auction, she said she would look into it and call me back. She didn't and now they won't respond to me. I want my shipping cost back

PER OUR ORIGINAL PHONE CONVERSATION WITH THIS CUSTOMER WHEN PAYMENT WAS MADE FOR THE ***** WE EXPLAINED THAT WE GENERALLY DO NOT SHIP ITEMS.

WE RUN A LOCAL SERVICE WHERE IT IS CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD THAT CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP THEIR AUCTION PURCHASES.

SHE EXPLAINED TO US THAT HER GRANDSON GOT ONTO HER ACCOUNT WITHOUT HER PERMISSION AND BID ON THIS TRUCK, WHEN WE CLEARLY EXPLAINED TO HER THAT WE COULD NOT GUARANTEE A SHIPPING DATE ( DUE TO CLOSING FOR THE HOLIDAY) SHE AGREED THAT IT WOULD BE FINE, THERE WAS NOT A RUSH - SINCE THE GRANDSON SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ON HER ACCOUNT.  I SHOULD NOTE THERE WAS NEVER A MENTION OF THIS BEING A CHRISTMAS GIFT, QUITE THE OPPOSITE,

WHEN WE RETURNED TO THE OFFICE WE CONFIRMED VIA FOLLOW UP PHONE CONVERSATION THAT HER ITEM HAD ARRIVED IN GOOD CONDITION, IT WAS ONLY THEN THAT SHE DECIDED TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE LATE ARRIVAL.

IN OUR BUSINESS WE OCCASIONALLY FIND THAT ONLINE AUCTION BUYING IS NOT FOR EVERYONE, AS IT IS A PROCESS THAT MUST BE FOLLOWED THROUGH COMPLETELY BY THE CUSTOMER.  WE HAVE SINCE REMOVED THIS CUSTOMER FROM OUR WEBSITE AND HAVE NO FURTHER OBLIGATION TO HER, AS SHE IN FACT RECEIVED HER PURCHASE IN GOOD CONDITION, JUST AS PROMISED BY OUR STAFF.

WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS, AS OUR RATINGS WITH THE BBB SHOW,

    THANK YOU
