      I had my oil changed 12/21/23 at Big Rays Exp Lube #****. My check engine light came on the very next time I drove my car. I had engine diagnostic testing done and one of the recommendations was to change the oil/filter.I went back to Big Ray's & showed the attendant the print-out. I asked if it was possible that something during the oil change *** have caused the light to come on. He said no but he would check. He looked under the hood for a moment & said everything was fine and the oil filter was good. I expressed concern about driving out of town over Christmas. He said it was most likely a *********** safe to drive.December 30th my check engine light was still on & my automatic start wouldn't work. I went to ************ ran a diagnostic test for $110. I hadn't mentioned the oil change but as soon as the results came back they told me that *******'s had not properly installed the oil fill cap. They said they were so sure of this that they said "they would be willing to testify in a court of law. I went back to Big Ray's. The manager wasn't in but the attendant said he would call me. When he called he said the owner would call me either that day or the day after New Years. I told him I either wanted my $96 back for the oil change or the $110 I had to pay at Midas. I repeated what ***** had told me. He began speaking in a raised harsh voice & stated, " it sounds like you are threatening me and all you want is money. If you go to court it will cost you a lot of money. I told him I was not threatening him and I would be waiting for the owners call.The owner never did call. The manager called at the end of the day Tuesday. He said the owner isn't going to call *********** not going to give you any money. We will give you a free oil change. I told him I would never go back ********* couldn't in good conscience give it to anyone else due to their sloppy work, dishonesty, & unprofessional behavior. I can't afford both charges I had to pay.
