BBB has identified a pattern where customers claim they gave Render Building Concepts money for services, including construction projects, but those services were never performed. Customers allege when requesting refunds they were unable to get in contact with the owner, Jose Martin Ortiz. According to the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), a license is required for construction. As of 11/20/24, BBB was unable to locate a license. 
BBB has attempted to contact Mr. Ortiz to address the issues but mail has been returned as undeliverable from an address on Division Ave. in Grand Rapids. Multiple phone numbers BBB has on file for the business are either disconnected, or not connected to Mr. Ortiz or his business.
