    They offered to come out, take measurements and provide a free estimate. I soon received a phone called from ********** Services to set up an appointment for the home visit. They mentioned at this point that both my husband and I were required to be present. I accepted the appointment, but it left me wondering why my husband had to be there. I found that to be strange since it was only for an estimate and not a sales call.The day before the appointment, they texted to confirm the appointment. I confirmed, and let them know my husband would not be attending. They responded by canceling the appointment. This experience was very disappointing. I called the ********** store regarding the cancellation. At that point they made me aware that the estimate service would be done by a separate company, ACC (Anderson Cabinet Company). ********** offered to contact *** and have the owner call me, apologize, and reset the appointment. I did get a phone call to set the appointment back up and at first accepted the appointment. I got another call from the owner, ***** **********************, asking me if I was ok and that they were making an exception for me so that my husband did not have to present. I suggested she change her business policy in general because it felt discriminatory. She stated that she would not. Ms ********************** also said she had no reason to apologize. I asked her why both parties had to be present and she stated several times (I felt she didnt answer it) that it is free and the only requirement is that both spouses have to be present. At that point, i cancelled the appointment. I believe this is a dishonest way of doing business.I did some research online and found out Ms. **********************s company has a 1 out of 5 star rating on the Better Business Bureau website. My research also revealed that such a practice may be a tactic for a high pressure sales pitch that is more effective when both spouses are present.

    Thank you for your response ****, we do not however just provide estimates. Every appointment that we do is a very thorough sales presentation that lasts up to 2 hours and we have phone recordings that you were notified of this. It is our policy to have all homeowners present for the appointment because we cover vast areas and try to reduce the # of times that we have to come to your home in order for a sale to be made. In most cases, not all but most, the homeowners all need the information we are providing in order to make a decision. It is our right to have this policy in place and we did offer to make an exception for you. Also we have serviced over 10,000 customers and have very few negative reviews, happy customers don't go on BBB and leave reviews which 99.9% of our customers are.

    Horrible experience with their ACC Home remodeling division as a installation contractor for H*** D****. Took 9 months )from April to January) for them to finally finish the installation of 3 windows in our Florida home. 4 untrained people over multiple trips couldn't figure how to properly install the locks on 2 sliding door. After multiple calls and broken promises to finish the job - they FINALLY had the factory rep come out - took him 10 minutes to do it. Literally hours after the locks were properly installed, they called and asked to now set the inspection. Beware of this home center sub, as the home center does not really care at all - they got paid.
