    am writing this review as a victim of gross misconduct by Velo Law Office. They are currently garnishing my wages for a medical debt that was already settled and paid in full back in 2015 through a legal settlement handled by ********. Despite having proof of payment and documentation showing the debt was satisfied, Velo Law went to court, got a default judgment without properly notifying me, and is now trying to collect over $33,000 – an amount they originally would have billed to insurance. I have submitted proof multiple times, and they have chosen to ignore the documentation and move forward with garnishment anyway. This is not just poor practice – it’s predatory, fraudulent, and devastating to someone already under financial stress. They have caused me extreme emotional distress and have put my ability to pay rent and survive in jeopardy. Velo Law does not operate with integrity or professionalism. They have no regard for the truth, fairness, or the law, and I urge others to be extremely cautious when dealing with them. If you’re being pursued by this firm, get legal representation immediately and file a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and Federal Trade Commission. I will also be pursuing legal action against both Velo Law and their client, ******, for knowingly pursuing a debt that was already paid.

    This is a debt collection company. I have had the displeasure of dealing with them on multiple occasions. They keep finding debts that I don't even know exist and suddenly are garnishing my wages. What's super shady about them, is that they don't notify anyone and give us the opportunity to work a deal/make payments/ etc. I am never, not once, ever notified of any court dates. I'm not sure how they do it. They are a money racket and quite frankly I'm not sure how anything they do is legal. Aren't we by law supposed to be served/noticed of any court hearings? I'm seriously about to contact the attorney general about this. There HAS to be some kind of consumer protection for this kind of thing. Velo is making a KILLING buying up what is mostly medical debt, intentionally does NOT notify the debtor, and then takes half of your paycheck. These are bottom barrel monsters. The next time I hope to EVER hear about these pigs again, would be through a class action lawsuit.

    HORRIBLE customer service. Very rude when speaking to anyone. Refused to let me speak to a supervisor. Refused to give information regarding my debt. Never recieved written notice of a garnishment. Informed me the debt was paid in full but there was a balance still of over 200$ which they could not advise me on what the debt is for. Will absolutely be pursuing legal action as it is clear this practice seems to be across the board with everyone that has to deal with them. Never before have I had to deal with such unprofessional behavior from a business of this sort in my life. This is extremely unacceptable behavior that needs to be publicly addressed.

    this law firm is illegally garnishing my wages by 25% for something that was purchased over 10 years ago they want they full amount and because i dont have the money they told me they charge interest every day! and nobody can help me. i was never served a judgment or went to court but how is this legal?

    And they victimized me of identity fraud and then they continually charge me for something that was in 2007 even the banks had no records of this anymore I have just paid over $2888 to below law firm there's to be no law firm as of today I have cashier's checks and now they are telling me that they cannot give me any information

    They sent correspondents to the wrong address about an old medical bill so they used a processor to serve me. I called and paid off debt now they want me to pay ****** dollar fee for the processor had they sent notice to my address that I've been at for 11 years I would have paid immediately like I did today. This is a very unethical collection agency that should have its practices looked into very shady ******
