My credit report contains a false MID ATLANTIC FINANCE C discrepancy that needs to be removed. I sent them letters demonstrating errors on my credit report, and I have receipt numbers **** **** **** **** **** 17. I wrote them a letter on 09-18-2023, but I never heard back, and this account is harming my ********************** rating. If they don't reply, I'll launch a lawsuit.

In reviewing the complaint from Yansekian ****** from *******, there is an indication the credit report contains a false Mid Atlantic Finance C discrepancy.  In searching our database, I do not find any association with ***********************  Additionally, we are not associated with Mid Atlantic Finance C.  I am wondering if this complaint should be directed to Preferred Credit, which is a direct sales lending company based out of *********, **.  If **************** continues to believe that Preferred Credit Union is involved with the derogatory rating on the credit report, it would be best she contact me directly at ************ so I can verify further with her if we are the ones involved with the derogatory rating.  At this point, I do not find the complaint valid against Preferred Credit Union.

I started my account with Preferred Credit Union in late-August 2023. At that time, I made a deposit of $5,000.Since then I have dealt with some life and vehicle issues which caused me to spend most of that startingbalance. Unfortunately, these issues caused my account to have a balance of almost 0.Since then, 3 transactions were allowed to go thru which has now caused my account to be in the negative $115. The 3 transactions were small amounts; however, the $90 in overdraft fees are the financial hardship.I understandthat it is my responsibility to maintain my account. However, it is the responsibility of the financialinstitution to explain all policies and regulations to a new customer. It was myunderstanding that I "opted-out" from overdraft protection but they are telling me that I signed a form to "opt-in" to that protection when I started my account. They are also telling me that even if I would have "opted-out" of the protection, pre-authorized vendors such as ******* and other streaming services would still be allowed to be taken out of my account. This was also not explained to me because if it was I would have linked those services to my fiance's account instead of my own.I would like Preferred Credit Union to refund the $90 in overdraft fees and then I will pay the rest to make the account current. If not, I will just close out my account and they can send the $115 to collections. I will not pay the full amount of $115 to make the account current since all policies were not properly explained to me.

I have reviewed ************************** complaint.  We apologize that ************************** is not satisfied with his account here at ******************.  Due to the sensitive nature of financial services, I prefer not to disclose any of ************************** account information via this means.  I would encourage ************************** to contact myself or one of our executive management team members to discuss this complaint in detail to try to resolve the dissatisfaction ************************** has with Preferred Credit Union.  I can be reached at ************ and he can ask for me or another member of our executive team.

First of all, in the response, it says  "I can be reached at...."  but never says  a name or the contact person to ask for

Second, there is nothing to discuss. I just want them  to remove all overdraft fees from the account because they allowed the transactions to go through. Also, when I originally started the account, the employee tricked me into "opting-out" of overdraft protection  instead of "opting-in"

Please remove all overdraft fees  then I will come in to make the account current. Thank you.

      Sincerely,

      *************************************
