On June 14, 2024, I purchased a car from this dealership as is, for under ******. The car was used and is a 2011 Audi. Immediately after leaving the dealership, I started experiencing problems with the car. I immediately contacted the dealership they sent a tow to pick up car and told me after they received back nothing was wrong with car. I drove for a few days and again began to experience problems with the car. I took it to a certified mechanic locally and paid $400.00 for a complete check of car. Their findings said it would cost me $11,000 to fix car because the engine needed to be replaced amongst other things. I called the dealership again they picked up car. They told me they would do anything to make right. They said they would replace engine with a rebuilt engine for a cost of $7000.00. They asked me what I was willing to pay I informed them I would pay $1500.00 to help with cost. However, the stipulation was I would pay after I got re checked with a certified mechanic because of the lies they have told thus far my trust in them was gone. They claim they fixed car in a matter of a few days. I picked car up and was called a liar by sales manager **** stating that they offered me a warranty, but they did not. I was also referred to as "them people" by **** the sales manager I am not sure what that was referring to, but he was upset I was not willing to hand over $1500.00 immediately for the car that they claimed to fix. He stated the person who they had contact me did not have authority I asked him who then he said owner. I said ok who is the owner he points to a man that works on cars. I ask the man are you the owner he said NO.

She did indeed purchase this car as-is, as she stated, meaning we didn't really have to do anything after the sale of this vehicle but we did. she brought it back a day or so after the purchase and one of our technicians looked into it but couldn't find any drive ability issues. she took it and started to have issues again so took it to a mechanic and he wanted to put a ***** engine in a 9900 dollar car. makes no sense really, even the warranty companies replace engines with one of similar miles or less, never brand new. she brought it back to us with this ridiculous estimate and we told her we could replace her engine with a rebuilt block and replace water pump. oil pump, rear main seal, timing chain, timing cover gasket, head gasket and reman head all for about 7000 and she said she would be willing to pay 1500 if the vehicle was done correctly. 5 days later her vehicle was ready for her to pick up. she then informed us that she needs to drive it for about 10 days to make sure the vehicle was up to her standards before she pays her bill with us. no service shop out there does this drive now pay later situation. not only did we take 500 off the cost of the vehicle but now we have a bunch of money tied up into parts and labor. I sat on the phone with our owner and ******* on Monday as she was lying about getting offered a warranty or gap insurance and he said he specifically offered her both in which she declined. I came back to work on that Monday and again offered ****************** insurance and she declined with me. As for me saying "you people" I'm referring to all of the buyers that want a brand new, 14 year old car in perfect running condition with over 100k miles for under 10k dollars. These cars do not exist! we have no idea how the old owners of these cars treated them. people like to race these little 2.0L turbo engines around so without tearing these cars completely down, nut by nut, bolt by bolt, we have no idea and to be honest, neither would any other mechanic. that's why their first estimate always is to replace the engine. Its because they do not know how to rebuild these engines. Long story short, she has a new engine in her car, she is blasting us all over social media and owes us $1500. either way, we will get the money.

On April x I purchased a 2013 VW Tiguan from this company. I was led to believe that this was a good vehicle. 15 minutes after purchase while driving away, warning lights lit up my dash with the prominent one stating oil pressure was bad and "do not drive, return to VW dealer". This was explained by AutoSport as likely a "sensor" which happens quite often. After a new sensor the next day, the problem continued after 80 miles when I was diagnosed by a reputable Foreign Car Repair shop that the engine was not properly cared for, had many issues, and the timing chain, tensioner and were failing and the plastic and metal shavings in the oil told the true story. The mechanic showed me full diagnostic data and said the only choice to drive the car from ******* was to replace the timing chain and aforementioned parts. He also said this will NOT be a permanent fix...and he was right. 60 miles later, the oil pressure light lit up, and the car was in "limp mode" again. I was sold a mechanically bad car and want this unethical and dishonest situation to be corrected with a replacement vehicle for me or a refund. I also want others to know the lack of integrity and consumer disregard this company demonstrates. If my desired settlement occurs, I will speak highly that they did the right thing. If I do not receive either desired settlement, I will "light up" social media with every tool and process I have at my fingertips to warn others of their shady and unsavory business practices. Responding positively to my unfortunate situation will be in both of our best interests!

In a nutshell, dealers buy vehicles from all over the country. It is virtually impossible to determine how a vehicle was driven from the previous owner, which is why we recommend extended service contracts for all of our customers. there is a reason that these vehicles are over 30k new because they include a warranty. we had this for sale for ****** and we lowered it to 9836 but still you refused to purchase an extended service contract which would have taken care of a bad engine if that was the case. all of these vehicles are sold as-is and we encourage our buyers to take them to a mechanic like any smart person would do. we literally cannot see the inside of these vehicles unless we do a complete tear down and that's just not in any dealer's budget. we have to rely on judgement, sound and feel. I'm sorry this is happening to you, but my hands are tied. we do not give refunds especially after almost 60 days and refusal of warranty.

I am rejecting this response because: of the following written in CAPS within the Autosport reply below (shown in lower case type) "in a nutshell, dealers buy vehicles from all over the country. It is virtually impossible to determine how a vehicle was driven from the previous owner, SO WHAT ABOUT THE BIG DEAL YOU MAKE ABOUT YOUR 100+ POINT INSPECTION? MY MECHANIC WHO CHECKED OUT THIS LEMON HOURS AFTER I PURCHASED IT IMMEDIATELY DIAGNOSED THE ENGINE. SO WITH A COMPLETE, 100-POINT INSPECTION BY AUTOSPORT, HOW COULD THIS ENGINE PROBLEM BE MISSED, OR WAS IT SIMPLY "IGNORED"? which is why we recommend extended service contracts for all of our customers. THIS WAS SUGGESTED BUT NOT EMPHASIZED. there is a reason that these vehicles are over 30k new because they include a warranty. we had this for sale for ****** and we lowered it to 9836 (DON'T ACT LIKE THIS WAS A BENEVOLENT GESTURE ON YOUR PART TO HELP ME AFFORD A WARRANTY...MAKE NO MISTAKE, I NEGOTIATED THIS REDUCTION THAT REQUIRED "BACK AND FORTH" CONVERSATIONS WITH THE ***** MANAGER. AND AUTOSPORT PROFITS FROM THE WARRANTIES IT "SELLS" SO THE MOTIVATION WAS CLEARLY SELF-SERVING! but still you refused to purchase an extended service contract which would have taken care of a bad engine if that was the case. I COULD NOT AFFORD A HIGH PRICED WARRANTY SO I ASKED ABOUT A 30 DAY, ***** MILE WARRANTLY TO PROTECT ME FROM "BAD ENGINES" BUT THIS (SURPRISE, SURPRISE) WAS NOT AVAILABLE  all of these vehicles are sold as-is and we encourage our buyers to take them to a mechanic like any smart person would do. I WAS NOT ENCOURAGED AT ALL TO TAKE THIS VEHICLE TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. AND YES, I WAS "NOT SMART" FOR TRUSTING AUTOSPORT. I SHOULD HAVE PAID CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE MANY POOR REVIEWS I OBSERVED PRIOR TO MY UNFORTUNATE ENCOUNTER.  we literally cannot see the inside of these vehicles unless we do a complete tear down and that's just not in any dealer's budget. we have to rely on judgement, sound and feel. AGAIN, SO A COMPETENT MECHANIC CAN TELL THE ENGINE IS HAVING BIG ISSUES WITHIN 5 MINUTES AND AUTOSPORT CANNOT DISCERN AN ISSUE AFTER DAYS OR WEEKS ON ITS LOT?  I'm sorry this is happening to you, but my hands are tied. we do not give refunds especially after almost 60 days and refusal of warranty. TO BE EXPLICIT, THIS *** SITS IN A DRIVEWAY BECAUSE IT FAILED 20 MINUTES AFTER PURCHASE AND NO ONE WANTS IT. THE *** HAS 220 MILES ON IT SINCE PURCHASE. THE NUMBERS ARE CLEAR...BECAUSE OF THE UNSCRUPULOUS CHARACTER OF AUTOSPORT, I AM OUT $1***** (includes $2800 I put into the engine just to drive for 200 miles.

I DESERVE AND CONTINUE TO RIGHTFULLY REQUEST RESTITUTION AND EXPECT AUTOSPORT TO STOP USING WITH ME THE USUAL AND STANDARD FORM LETTER RESPONSE IT LIKELY HAS LIKELY DELIVERED TO SO MANY OTHER BUYERS WHO TRUSTED THEM AND THEN LOST THEIR "SHIRTS" BECAUSE OF SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES AND BAD VEHICLES.

A very disgruntled and angry customer,

Again ***, certain warranties are available to us but your 30 day 50/50 is not. even our 4 month warranties wouldn't cover an engine because there are limitations on a 4 month of $1500. The higher tier warranties limitations cover to the *** of the vehicle.  You may not have been encouraged to take the vehicle to your mechanic but you still should have. The vehicle was perfectly fine on the lot and even during our presale inspection. I'm just not sure why you waited so long to contact us and threaten to blow us up on social media. at this point you can take your claims to the courts but make sure you bring your as-is paperwork with you

I bought the car February 28th 2023, The amount of the car ******. I drove the car for one day before it shut off the next day in the middle of me driving it to work. Who wants to pay that much for a car and only get to drive it for 1 day? I been hung up on trying to call the dealership or if not that was told I'd be called back and never was. I didn't get a loaner or anything to drive while the car was being looked at. I had to use my towing on my insurance to get it to their shop and I had it towed to my house before that. Seem like I'm doing all the doing while they sit back. I want my money back or a car worth the same value as the lemon they tried to sell me.

******** is correct, he purchased the vehicle and did have an issue 1 day after. He was stuck in the middle of the intersection and as a safety precaution, we advised him to use his free towing from his insurance to move the car back 200 yards to his house. we than the next day, got the vehicle to a service shop which they found the trunk had some water due to the ice and snow melt. the drain plugs were clogged. they cleaned the drain plugs. replaced the battery and installed a new fuel pump module that fixed the car. 1 week later we got a call from a random service shop saying that this car is parked in his driveway block the shop and no keys. we attempted to connect with him but no response. we never received any phone calls from him prior to this nor did we avoid him. ********************* spent ***** on his vehicle and the lender would not allow him to purchase a warranty due to his limited credit history. As far as we were aware of, his vehicle was running fine because we never heard back from him after we paid for his repairs. These vehicles are all purchased as-is and all customers sigh the as-is form then conscientiously purchase an extend warranty.
