Important information

  • Additional Info:
In February 2008 it came to the attention of the BBB that this company's information was being used in a counterfeit check scheme for a home improvement grant offer.

The following alert was posted on the company's website to warn consumers of this scheme:

    Attention Customers:

WELLER has been made aware of a scam involving our name. It has come to our attention that someone is mailing out a fraudulent letter and a counterfeit check with our name on it. The check has a bogus telephone number controlled by the scammers that "verifies" the check. The victims are told to send the scammers of $3500 for the promise of much more.

Be assured that the the check is fraudulent and WELLER would appreciate it if you would contact us. We are working with the authorities and need their information. Please forward a copy of the check and the letter that came with it via fax or email to the attention of Helen Van Farowe or Becky Weber at 616-724-3770 or hvanfarowe at partsbyweller.com or bweber at partsbyweller.com.

If you would also help us by sending the original documents to William Otto at Comerica Fraud Services, we would greatly appreciate it.

    That address is as follows:

    William Otto
    Comerica Fraud Services
    3551 Hamlin Road
    Auburn Hills MI 48326

WELLER and Comerica have contacted the appropriate authorities.

    Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

Weller Auto & Truck Parts, Inc.

BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.

When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.

BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic.
