Our neighbor's house exploded on 12/30/23. This was a massive explosion that obliturated his home entirely. We are less than 600 feet from the site of the blast. The concussive force caused damage throughout our entire home including drywall/paint, windows, foundation, cabinets, etc. *** hired Nederveld **** to assess the damage. Their representative was very dismissive. He made statements like, "Some people try to get free stuff from the insurance company" and "I don't know how much the insurance company is going to pay for." When I showed him the broken cabinet in our basement, he said, "It's not like the insurance company is going to buy you a new cabinet" and commenced to give me DIY solutions to rig up my cabinet. Their report labeled many blatently explosion related damages as "age related." The walls upstairs were ****** so badly an entire countertop was separated from the wall. Before the explosion, I had personally caulked and painted that wall. They labeled it as "age related separation." We have many windows showing visible, obvious damage after the explosion. They even took photos of plastic broken in between the panes from the concussion and labeled it as "age related deterioration." I watched our patio flex >1" inward during the explosion. He took a picture of the cleanest corner he could find at the top of the door (where the least motion would have occurred) and stated that there were "no evidence of recent movement." There is a crack at the bottom left of the very same patio door showing these signs of movement (I have images proving it). This was the most corrupt, biased, and deliberately misleading report I've ever seen. They weren't even subtle about it. It's blatant. Now, *** is using this misleading report to deny covering the majority of our damages. They have ignored all evidence, images, and reason we have presented. They have ignored estimates from the both foundation and window experts. This is corruption at it's best.

This company and every single engineer who is employed by Nederveld needs to be investigated ASAP. Along with ****** and any company that hires them. I have documented proof of lightning damage to my home which their engineer Kyle intentionally did NOT and REFUSED to review all the evidence provided before he filed both reports. The first report he did NOT even review ANY of the photos before he submitted "his findings/opinions". Along with documented proof of lies from both Kyle and ******* claim adjuster Dean. They are only hired by the insurance comp to help get out of their contract The 2nd report, Kyle REFUSED to speak to a non-biased contractor regarding measurements over a several month span which would prove structural damage . Then lies again, and states would contact him the next day. He NEVER tried contacting him once. I also have proof of lightning marks along my foundation with cracks and holes blasted from strike. Also the pieces of foundation that blew off. Along with pieces of siding, burn marks, holes inside my walls, and pieces of metal, drywall, foundation in my basement ceiling insulation, electrical damage where my entire house needs to be rewired and they cant safely do it until my house is jacked up since now im sinking EXACTLY where we got hit by lightning. I called my insurance agent day of and asked if i should get an inspection because of the 2 STRIKES AND SHOCKWAVES, he said no to waiit until i knew for sure i had structrual damage. Now they are trying to get away with stating this was previous damage. While my house is feeling unsafe to live in. I am still dropping, more and more cracks, bulging of walls, ceilings, floor drops, water piping came apart, suppory beams twisting, cracking, bulging, mold, Also, the rebar that goes all the way around my house which is also exactly where the lightning marksxgo around. He DID NOT MENTION on report either. How can BBB legally let this co get away with this? IM NOT!

Stay away from this company. Extremely shady, unethical and have no morals. I hope this company gets investigated by the state and federal authorities for their unethical and unscrupulous practices. They work with insurance companies and help them get out of paying out insurance claims to policyholders. If your insurance company tells you they are sending these guys out to "inspect" your property, ask for a different company...or you will be sorry!!

In March 2022, a few days after a storm which had recorded winds of ***** mph our roof started leaking. Filed a claim with AAA (been insured with them for 29yrs) Our claims agent had nederveld inspect our roof. They stated in their "OPINION" it was not wind damage. 5 professional flat roof companies inspected and each one confirmed it WAS a result of wind damage just as the public adjuster, the supply company and the inspector did. nedervelds first report had so many contradictions, false statements, pictures showing the wind damage. I continued to challenge their report and false/conflicting statements so did my ******************** so my claims agent sent them out for the second time. Their second report was a bigger joke, they contradicted their contradictions in their first report. Well in late October 2022 (almost 8 months later) the interior damage from the roof leaking exceed $6,000 which AAA only paid about 1/2 of and closed the claim standing by nedervelds "OPINION' not fact, proof or evidence. After numerous certified/registered letters to **************************** asking how AAA accepted and closed the claim on an "OPINION" and how a "PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING FIRM" could not / would not report FACT, just a opinion, I never received the courtesy of a reply.Being a 63 yr old single dad raising a teenage son I didn't have the money to fight it after putting out $30,000 for a new roof and $3,000 to get the interior of our house returned to a livable state. I got screwed royal by AAA insurance thanks to an incompetent "PROFFESIONAL ENGINEERING FIRM" NEDERVELD and my son even got screwed, the money for the roof and interior repairs was his college money - THANKS ****************************** hope your proud of s******* a ************ over.

I absolutely cannot recommend them for anything. Don't know how they have an A+ rating. I had them redo a property line due to a mistake they had made. Had to pay them to even get them to come back out to redo it. After they remarked to corner and the line it was way different than the previous survey a year before. Now they won't give me my money back or even email me back. They have ceased all communications and refuse to admit they made a mistake. Don't ever use them they will rip you off. All they want is the money.
