    I hired Boat Dog Canvas company last summer, 2024 to install a canvas cover onto my pontoon boat. the total cost was 1500 dollars and the job would be completed in the upcoming Fall. I paid 1000 dollars down with a personal check. I phoned him in the Fall and he said his sewing machine was broken and he was waiting on a part from ***** and would make the pontoon cover in the Spring. I have contacted him by phone twice and once by text. I then explored the internet and found that the business is not longer in business. I naturally want my 1000 dollars returned as I have not received the service agreed to. I am going to guess that there are other people like me who hve experienced the same mode of operation. What is the next step? Thank you for your help. ***** ******

    On May 21st 2024 I paid Boat Dog Canvas a $750 down payment to make a pontoon boat cover.Four months later he provided me with a boat cover that was totally unacceptable. It did not fit the boat or keep the rain out. He aggreed to repair or replace the cover in the spring of 2025. I have repeatedly tried to reach him by phone, text and email with no avail. Accordiing to a review from his web page, another disappointed customer is in the same boat as I am. I would like my $750 refunded to me.
