Last July of 2024, *** poured a driveway for my elderly mother, cracking and crumbling within six months. Right away I noticed two holes in the concrete and an over pour on the edge. It took several text messages and phone calls before he came out to assess the holes and the over pour on the edge of the driveway. He claims his worker was in the hospital. When he did come out, he came up with the excuse that he didnt have the tools with him and that he would be back with the saw and filler for the holes the following week. He never came. By then it was September and my mom fell and was ill. At that time we noticed the driveway started cracking. Not just one, not two, but 5 squares. I waited for it to get warm and contacted him in May/June and he came out and looked at it. By this time, the concrete started to crumble which he blamed on salt. He insisted that he filled the holes but he never came back and I showed him they were still collecting water. Instead of offering a solution for the holes, cracks, crumbling and overspray, he went off into a flurry of excuses of why it happened. 1. Its ********, concrete is guaranteed to crack in *********2. The crumbling is salt damage from my car (I was in a neck brace and didnt drive all winter long and didnt park in the area that was crumbling). 3. He said there was heavy rains before he poured, this may have caused the cracking. Not once during this visit did he offer any solution of how to fix this. He refused to come in the house and speak to my mother who is the homeowner.June/July as it was heating up the concrete got worse and was crumbling in other areas. We found another area cracked. My mother and I hired a reputable concrete company. As they started removing the damaged areas, the concrete was crumbling and found there was no crushed stone under it and some areas were only 2 inches deep. They also felt the concrete was subpar. We ended up paying for them to replace the entire driveway.
