    I had my car windows tinted here. My car is licensed for **************. I told this to the owner, *****, so that he would know what level to tint my windows. He agrees to knowing this. He looked up what was the acceptable tint percentage for **************. He admits to this. He admits that he thought he was tinting my windows at the appropriate level for **************, 32% according to the ************** DMV. I have a rare form of cancer which disallows exposure to light. One of my doctors is in ************** and one in ******** so I am back and forth between states.My son came up to ******** to drive my car to ************** for me. The *********************** requires cars to be inspected before being registered. My car would not pass inspection because the window tint is too dark. They used their measuring tool. These are their measurements. Driver side Front Window:27 Driver side back; 17 Passenger side front: 27 Passenger side back: 17 Back window 18. These measurements are not even close to the ************** requirement.I called ***** at Firehouse Window Tint a week or so ago...July 14, 2022 or there aboouts. he initially, empatically denied everything. he denied ever talking w me about my car being licensed in ** and that I would be driving it in ** .We talked at length about this plus my car has ************** plates in it. I very clearly told him I needed the tint to be legal in **. he said, "no problem, we can take car of that." He said that "he did what I told him to do," yet why would I tell him to put the wrong tint on. He did a lot of circular talk to deflect the issue.i called my son and asked him to go back to the place that told him about the tint being too dark. he did this for me on his lunch break. I have provided you w that information.I called ***** back and let him know about the disparity in what he says he did and what what actually done. He made another deflection attempt by telling me "he didin't know how car dealers in ** could

    Firehouse Films Window Tinting LLC only carrys the following shades of window tint, 5%, 20%, 35%, 45%, 50%, 80% and 90%. I have numerous receipts from a reputable tint dealer to prove this fact. 

    The customer and I both/together looked up *************** regulations for window tint, remind you I am located in ******** and the only source of verification I had was using ****** search.  ***** then chose which shade she wanted on her vehicle which was 35% on her front two windows and 20% on her rear. Tint was then installed and customer picked vehicle up. She inspected said vehicle, was happy with the result and paid for her service. 

    ***** then called me around 5 weeks after her appointment, her appointment was June 8th at 10am, stating her tint had to be removed and redone because it did not pass inspection in **************. Firehouse Films Window Tinting then offered for her to return to our facility, have the tint removed and for a re-tint free of charge. Customer declined offer.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    To say that finding the proper tint percentage on ****** SEARCH is difficult is not true. Finding accurate information only required going to the ** ********** of ***** Vehicles site. Not being able to find the proper information is not an excuse. 

    It is agreed that ***** and I discussed the fact that my car was licensed in ************** and would be driven in ************** therefore had to have tint that was legal in **************. This is beyond debate.

    My son came up to ******** from ************** to drive my car down to ************** from ********. This is why there is a time lapse between having the tint done and finding out it was done incorrectly.

    After ***** and I had our conversation about the car having to have the tint done to ************** specifications, and ***** showed me the tint, assuring me the selected tint was legal in **************, I would have oked the choice made. This choice would have been wholly based on ***** having done a search on what is legal in ************** , which he ****** he did.

    In my previous complaint, I provided BBB with the tint percentage on my car that was measured when my son took the car in for inspection in ****, **************. The tint percentages are way off. If you need me to present the percentages to you again, please let me know. You can refer to my original complaint for those measurements.

    I should not be expected to drive my car from ************** to ******** to have the wrong tint removed by the person who put it on wrong. I am not the person who made the mistake. To correct this error, a full refund is necessary.
