***** Redmond came and quoted my husband and I $10,000 to install new hardwood flooring and refinish existing hardwood flooring in our home. ***** was able to see the job and knew exactly what he was getting into with our project. ***** came for a few days and did great work installing our new flooring and began sanding down the existing floors. There was a large tile that he needed to remove and the stairs needed to be refinished as well - this was all talked about in the beginning and included in our quote. He told us that he would need to come back in a few weeks to finish the tile and stairs and put one final coat on the floor. He spun it like it was good for us because we were in the process of redoing our kitchen at the same time and he said that if any of the flooring got scratched when the cabinets were being installed he could buff it out. We agreed because he seemed trustworthy up to that point and easy to communicate with. He wanted to be paid for the work he had already done though. At the time we thought this was understandable so we estimated the project 90% done so we paid him $9,000. ***** never returned to finish the job. Looking back we think it was because he didnt want to take out the tile or finish the stairs. Our 1500 square feet of hardwood flooring was left unfinished (we could feel this to the touch) for months as we tried to contact ***** via texts calls and ******** messages. Ultimately, we had to hire a new company to come finish our floors. This was not only frustrating but more expensive as the other company did not want to work on someone elses work. We are extremely disappointed in Redmond Flooring and want other people to know what kind of business this is.
