I contracted with Cost Processing to eliminate my credit card debt. I made all the monthly payments. Then my case was transferred to Phoenix Legal Group. I spoke with an account manager, ********, and supervisor, ***** on 7/6/23 and was told that the remaining items on my credit report would be cleared up in 90 days. If no, I would receive a refund of that part of my total payments that should have cleared up this almost $10,000.00. Well it is over a year later and not only are the items still on my credit report but now they don't return phone calls. It also seems that Phoenix has either transferred my account or changed their name to ***** Law Group.

I was to pay *** Law Firm $353. Per month for 11 months which they were to work with creditors to settle however they told me that the 11 months of $353. Is all I would eer pay. After paying this amount for 10 months I was unknowingly transferred to ************ group for approximately 1 month and then transferred to Phoenix. I had not known about any of these transfers until I tried to contact LPG and got Oakstone then they tried to take money out of my account for a month payment which my bank was able to get that month of money back then unknowingly transferred Mr to Phoenix which had to stop payment on them. Neither Oakstone or Phoenix was authorized. I would like to know if there is any way of getting the10 months of $353. back? I have no documentation to submit. Was in LPG Portal

In September of 2022 I was referred to the *** law group for *************** services by ********************** On September 09/27/22 the firm began withdrawing $640.70 monthly to resolve my debts. On 2/13/23 I received an email (Attached) stating they were transfering my case to Phoenix Law Group indicating they would be better at handling my case. They transfered my case, account, and provided Phoenix Law Group with my Banking information all without consent or authorization. I have since learned that *** law has allegedly closed as the company was run by *****************, a disbarred attorney for ethics violations. Phoenix Law claims to have no knowledge of *** laws issues and closing and claim to be a seperate entity and have begun debiting my account for the monthly $640.70, under the suspicious generic debit of "Legal Fees", without my consent nor have I signed any power of attorney documents or consent forms for debit deductions. I believe *** and Phoenix Law are one in the same as the *** law website is still online (**********, See Attached Photo of website and phone number) and it states the following:If your answer is yes to to working with *** sign up or give us a call.CONTACT US TODAY FOR A FREE CONSULTATION ************** If you call that number Phoenizx Law Group answers the phone. In short none of my creditors have been contacted by Phoenix Law or *** and I fear this is not a legitimate buisness. I have not authorized or signed documents allowing Phoenix Law Group to debit my account and I have called and cancelled any further dealings with this shady orginization as I never signed a power of attorney document. They refuse to refund the $3844.20 from my account (*** Law transfered it to them) I want my account funds returned to me and believe the **************** Attorney General should be investigating *** law and the Phoenix Law Group. I have attached pictures of the bank account that has been debited as well as other evidence to support my case.

This complaint is directed against the wrong law firm. Our law firm has not enrolled any new clients in a few years.  I think this is another Phoenix Law Firm.  Our firm has no relationship with the firm or individual named in the complaint.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and realized I have in fact filed this complaint against the wrong law firm. I find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me and extend my apologies to the business for the confusion   I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Phoenix Law Group contacted 2/23 representing themselves as if I had a contract with them. (LPG gave them my information but I was never told of this, I had canceled with LPG prior to Phoenix Law Group contacting me), I explained I was no longer with LPG and I had requested a refund. The person I talked *** said he had to transfer to a senior person, the senior person tried to talk me into do services with them, did not understand the word no and that I was jot under contract with them or LPG b/c I canceled. Although they had my information she couldnt give the refund b/c that was on LPG, after 45 mins of going back and forth she asked if she was able to help me get a refund if I would consider doing business with phoenix law firm I told her I would not consider anything until I received a refund from LPG. Interesting enough about 45 mins I received a call from a ******* saying she was issuing me a refund. That was 2/9/23, And confirming my account was canceled, I still have not received a refund. Friday I received another call from phoenix law firm again acting as if I was a client, I explained I was not a customer of ********************** or lpg and i was seeking a refund. The man transferred me to someone who insisted I needed to give him my social security number and give additional person information. I refused again would not take no for an answer and said my account was not canceled with them. I asked how can I have an account with them when I never signed up with them and I canceled with lpg prior to phoenix contacting me. He could jot answer this and continued to harass me about my social security number. When I brought up the refund he said he wasnt responsible for that, that was LPG????? None of this makes sense and I feel like I was scammed.
