On August 9th 2023 Quality Asphalt Paving, Inc. arrived to seal my driveway. Unknown to me, they subbed out my work to another contractor, ***** Asphalt Sealcoating. ***** proceeded to seal my driveway in a sub-standard manner, resulting in me having to have another contractor bid on correcting the sub standard work. My original cost was $610, it is now well over $1,000.No attempt has been made by Quality Asphalt Paving, *** to rectify the sub standard work. I'm requesting a 50%, $310.00 refund.

As soon as we heard about any issues with the sealcoat coming up, our sub-contractor reached out to ************** to see when we could come out and fix any issues and ************** hung the phone up on him. ************* had already called another company out before even reaching out to us to make things right, I've tried to explain to him that we unfortunately were unable to acquire a sealcoat crew of our own this year but still wanted to provide our clients with sealcoat and crack repair options.

I am rejecting this response because: The sub contractor did call: He was obviously drunk. I ended the call. Quality NEVER attempted to make things right. I have yet to have another sealing company fix "the mess." As a 100% disabled combat veteran, I feel it's a shame that I'm being exploited in such a manner. All I'm trying to do is recoup 33% of my losses.

    Sincerely,

************** never had a conversation with ****, the sub-contractor he hung up on him immediately as soon as he told him who he was. As soon as we got the complaint from ************** we immediately called the sub-contractor to have them go back out to make things right if needed. We haven't seen any pictures nor would he give **** the chance to come out and see what we could do. Monday the 14th ************* emailed first thing in the morning to tell me he drove on it the day before and the tires are lifting the sealcoat and that he already has an outfit from ****** to come inspect, never giving us a chance.

I am rejecting this response because: It appears the Quality Asphalt has no intention of reaching the fair and equitable compensation I originally ask for. Their responses are redundant in nature, to put it simply more of the same. I didn't refuse to speak with the representative from the sub contractor, however I will not engage in conversation with anyone who is clearly under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

It's painfully clear that Quality Asphalt has no intention of "making things right" as they state.

At this point I feel I have no choice but to take  this experience to my tri-county veterans groups and to local social media platforms. I will let others decide if  asking for compensation is inaccurate or not. Sadly this seems like another case of a senior citizen being taken advantage of. I will let  others decide if this is indeed the case.

    Sincerely,
