I brought in my Car on Aug 16 after expressing that the car felt like it was shuddering when driving and when braking. They looked at the car and said the Strut, disc pads, rotors, and the shock absorber needed fixing/replacing. Thinking it would solve the problem of why I brought it in, I agreed. I picked it up today and the total was $2,415. As soon as I pulled off the lot I felt the same issue when driving that I had reported and instantly returned to the shop. The lead service advisor, ******* got in the car and felt what I was referring to and then had his head technician do the same. They reported they didnt know what the cause of the shake and took it back into the garage to look it over. If they didnt know the cause of the issue I had brought the car in for- why was I mislead to spend over $2,000? They came back out and said it was an issue with the Cylinder that they missed and the cost for fixing that would be $412.53. They admitted responsibility that they missed the issue and ******* said he would cover the $412 when I asked how they would fix the situation. Fixing the problem I actually brought the car in for was only $412 and took 30 minutes, but I spent $2,415 and they had my car over night. There is no reason they should have done the initial work totaling $2,415 if it did not fix the problem I brought the car in for. I am in no way disputing that the other parts of the vehicle in the car they replaced may have been worn down, but I did not bring my car to them to replace things that were not yet causing problems I was experiencing. The work I authorized to be done was under the assumption it would fix the issue I reported. The first round of work was unnecessary. What fixed my car shudder was what they did the second time I returned to the lot on August 17, totaling $412.53
