    I have tried to address this with the hotel, expedia, paypal credit and synchrony bank, but all they see if that yes, the hotel has record of ** staying there, which they do. They also double charged our card and it took me 3 months to even get that money refunded. This was only one of the few things that happened while staying there. It was beyond dirty, the toilet clogged and began to overflow (we were handed a plunger), smoke alarm low battery was on for hours before I had to call (and then go downstairs because no one ever answered) again and I was informed that he forgot. We found a cork bottle, which led us to realizing the floor was filthy. Looked like someone splooged on the tv screen, the couch and chair I immediately put a sheet over because it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. They literally had linens that would just sit out in the hallway when the guy was done cleaning which sat out for everyone to grab, not sure how that's sanitary or "enhanced cleaning". My husband couldn't go outside to smoke as there was a homeless person camped outside, so he didn't feel safe.Big thing is that my 2 year old (at the time)got Cryptosporidium from their pool. He was beyond miserable and we ruined easily $100 in clothing, plus pedialyte (to keep off dehyrdation). I don't even want that money reimbursed, I just want our miserable stay that lasted for 3 weeks afterwards (kids kept peeing water out of his **** for that long as it it's an off and on thing) refunded. There was no enhanced cleaning and my son getting extremely ill is proof of that. Look at Expedia's review for stays around 3/22/22 and clearly they had a cleanliness problem because we were NOT the only ones with issues.They need to drain that pool and deep clean it, chlorine does NOT kill cryptosporidium, so more children could be effected be this. It's bad enough my own child couldn't stop peeing out his b******* I'm hoping by this point they have as noone will listen.

    September 1, 2022 on a Thursday. I called best western and ask them was the jacuzzi and pool available for use and the staff person said yes. So I booked our stay thought expedia. Our days of stay was book for september 3 to the 5 of september. When we arrived at the hotel we saw that the jacuzzi had yellow tape around it. I ask the staff person will the jacuzzi be open in the morning? This is the only reason we pick this hotel. The staff stated no it will be closed for the the year. I told the staff we will be staying for one night. This is the only reason we pick this hotel. MY husband was in a bad motor cycle accident in 2013. The car drive is very heard on his body. We went to Michigan to visit his mother after some years of not seeing her. The staff said ok. when we checked out at 10a that Saturday morning the hotel staff stated we had to contact expedia about our refund. We keep contacting expedia and they are saying they have to get release of the funds from the management and they haven't gotten in touch with the management Lizzy at Best western Plus in Kalamazoo. This has almost been a month. We are not in the position to give money away to anyone at this time in our life. What do we do because we really need our money back.
