    We rented a couch and my complaint is not that we owed them money. We fell behind unfortunately and we were trying to get a payment it is how we were treated. First of all one of the managers named ****** made fun of and critized me for being a stay at home mom. She was very unprofessional and honestly very rude. We then spoke with another male employee who refused to take our money when trying to get things caught up. When trying to reach corporate I was unable to.come up with any number. I want nothing from them except someone should look into how these employees are treating customers.

    I'm sorry that your experience with Continental was less than satisfactory.  However the details you have provided are incomplete and only reflect a biased opinion of what actually occurred.  As far as the complaint against the named employee, she was only trying to understand the customers situation in an effort to manage the account.  Because we do not do credit checks, other factual and verifiable information is required. The terms of the binding contract that the customer enters into (of which each customer receives a copy of) states that if the contract is not renewed after 3 days of the payment due date, Continental reserves the right to terminate that contract and request the merchandise back.  This customer was 23 days past the renewal date of their very first payment.  This combined with the combative and berating attitude of *************************** paired with hurling of cuss words at our employee led to the decision to sever ties with this customer.  As ********************** is now defending these accusations, it would seem the burden of proof is on the complainant and Continental should be exonerated from this unsubstantiated claim.
