    I originally called Milford Counseling on 10/21/2022 to schedule an appointment. I believed that my first appointment was scheduled for 11/4/2022. I received a call from Milford Counseling on 10/28/2022 and they told me I missed my first appointment. I was charged $100 for missing the appointment two days later. I called Milford Counseling on Tuesday 11/1 to question the charge. They told me that I was charged this amount because I "missed" this appointment. I told them I had no idea that the appointment was for that date and I would have never scheduled it for that day as I was working. The receptionist told me she would give her office manager details and the office manager would give me a call. The office manager never called me and I had to continue to call until I finally was able to get through to her. She was a vile, awful excuse for a manager and spoke to me in an incredibly demeaning way. She thought it would be a good resolution to refund me the $100 through the form of account credits that could go toward my copays. I did not want this as I did not plan to ever go back again because of the insanely large and random charges, attitude of employees, and strange overall atmosphere. I had to argue with the office manager for over 30 minutes to finally get her to agree to put the money back on my credit card. This "business" is dealing with an incredibly vulnerable group of people and should not be acting this way. I stand by the fact that I never made an appointment for 10/28/2022. After reading reviews it seems that they may have a pattern of doing this to people. For a place that is supposed to help individuals with mental health, they do the absolute opposite. It is an absolute money grab and cult like scheme. I am not seeking anything as I am glad to just have my money back and be out of there, however, this place seriously needs to be looked into...
