    We were hoping this was going to be our go-to-store for flooring, but changed our mind after our carpet was installed. Nor will we recommend them to anyone. The overall install job looks good, but the direction in which the carpet was put down does not. In researching after it was installed, and chatting with a **** carpet manufacturer technician, we discovered the pile direction should ideally sweep towards the entrance. There are factors that determine when the carpet should be laid otherwise, but none applied to our situation. Our install has the carpet pile direction sweeping away from the entrance, which shows all the foot traffic and vacuum sweeper marks, making it appear dirty. When looking at the carpet from inside the room, looking in the direction of the entrance, the carpet looks wonderful. ******, who sold us the carpet, and *****, the owner came to our house to inspect it. ***** said there was nothing wrong with how it was installed, and there was nothing he could/would do about it, other than selling us more carpet at a discounted price. Why would we want to pay for more carpet, even at a discount? ***** commented that business owners say that the 'Customer is always right', but said, in our case, we were not. ***** said he was not willing to correct the issue, and then went on listing his employees that he said wouldn't be able to have a raise, etc. if he 'ate' the cost. We said we would be even willing to pay a partial reinstall fee. We discussed the issue at great length with *****, but he remained unwilling to do anything about it, other than selling us more carpet, at our cost. With their supposed 30+ years of experience selling and installing carpet you'd think they would have known which way to install the pile direction so that it could look the best that it could be. Very frustrating situation!!
