    I called Powerhouse Gym to inquire about prices in the summer of 2014. I decided not to sign up for a membership. Nevertheless, they have regularly solicited me ever since via phone calls and text messages despite repeated requests to cease and desist as well as destroy my information. They most recently contacted me on August 14, 2023 - nearly a decade after my inquiry. I have never been a client and have been excessively patient with them. I do not even live in the same time zone anymore. This belligerency constitutes harassment.

    In November of 2022 I became injured due to faulty equipment at this gym. Their bolted-in pull up bar fell loose while I was underneath it (not during a set but while standing on the ground) and it hit the top of my head, giving me a laceration on the top of my skull that made me bleed profusely. The gym called an ambulance for me and EMS came and only took my blood pressure and blood sugar levels and wrapped my head up. I never asked the gym to call EMS, and I did NOT ride the ambulance either. I had to drive myself to the emergency room myself, after a head injury and blood loss to get 4-5 staples in my head. I emailed the gym the next day regarding my injury, and I got no response or call from anyone. In the end, I was charged $1.3k from EMS for no ride to the hospital and for them to solely just check my blood pressure and sugar levels. The gym offered no compensation of any kind nor any follow up to see if I was okay. I understand in their contract it states they are not liable, but to not even check up after and the fact I was the one charged over one thousand dollars does not sit right with me. Months after this experience I'm compelled to report this business due to their lack of professionalism and failure to properly check equipment for safety. I've noticed many safety hazards within this gym since my accident.
