July 10, 2024 I financed a car through Twins Auto sales. I put $1,000.00 down. I purchased a warranty and gap insurance. I asked if the warranty would kick in when I left the lot & the salesman said yes it would. A couple of weeks after having the car it started driving funny, By week 3 I had to get it towed to their shop in *******, **. I stay an hour away from Twins Auto sales and their repair shop. Turns out the transmission was bad. I made a claim through my warranty department and my claim was denied. I called Twins to left them know and they gave me the run around. First they were going to call the warranty company but they never communicated with me. I had to call and call and call. The owner would tell me he would call me back shortly, or in a hour and he never would, I always had to call him. They had my car for a couple of weeks before I learned my claim was denied. When I told the owner I was going to call the warranty company again they told me not too, and also tried to get me to lie about the date my car started messing up. They had my car for about 3 months before I finally gotten it back. They sent my car to a shop that was not theirs. They also would not provide me with a loaner vehicle. I am a ***** mother working 2 jobs, so a vehicle is a necessity for me. After a couple of days of getting my car back it started jerking a little. I called where I picked my car up from and he told me to come back down and he would look at it. I drove 1 hour and 20 minutes there for him to tell me nothing was wrong with it. I later found out when getting an oil change, they did not change transmission fluid. My car has been down for months and back at their repair shop because the transmission os still not right. Car starts but wont accelerate. This time they told me they have loaner cars, but its been 3/4 weeks and I keep being told next week every time I call. ******** company says they need invoice from my car being fix 1st ***************************** says they dont have itBusiness Response

We repaired Ms. Bookers vehicle the first time in August 24, after she purchased it. Fixed her transmission problems.
Its been a year, and now it is in our shop currently, waiting on the pending warranty company claim. She should have this vehicle back very soon.

Consumer: Dior WilsonAddress: ***************************************: (810) 884-1340Dealer: Twins Auto Sales Inc.Vehicle: 2021 ******** EscaladePur***** Date: September 28, 2023Complaint Summary:I pur*****d a 2021 ******** Escalade from Twins Auto and financed it through Exeter Finance. I later discovered a second lien on the same vehicle through ******************, which I never authorized. I have never applied for financing or done business with ******** RD-108 shows stock #***** with **************** as the inventory lender. However, when I contacted ********, they confirmed the correct stock number was #*****, and the title was scanned through their system before my pur*****. This suggests the dealership altered the stock number on the RD-108, possibly to conceal dual financing or backdoor activity.Additionally, I found the title had been reassigned without my consent. I never signed paperwork authorizing a reassignment or second lien. These actions appear deceptive and may involve fraud, title misrepresentation, and consumer rights violations.I request a full explanation from Twins Auto regarding:1. Why ********** was added as lienholder;2. Who authorized the title reassignment;3. Why the RD-108 stock number doesnt match ********* records;4. Back in August of 2020 I financed a 2017 **** Edge. Was sold with no antifreeze which discover 2dys after driving, also noticed speed wasn't picking up. Within months later engine out would not start once got off work and Al at Twins Auto stated to tow to ********* and will replace with warranty. Well in process **** Auto had vehicle few blocks over where he stated that's where they do engine work. It took months to pick up my car and came out $2,000 or more in rentals losing one job in process. Once picked up air not working, nor eco boost which remember suppose to be new engine,so had to take back for another 4dys another rental at my expense pay for compressor couldn't offer eco boost. Now again engine has gone out and same game been played by Al the twin. Everyday all day he is in meeting not returning calls, my vehicle has been at his shop a week with no answers. I was sold a LEMON and have came out of so much money with vehicle in debt and behind. Can someone PLEASE HELP! THIS VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED 5 YEARS AGO. AFTER THE FIRST YEAR, SHE BLEW THE ENGINE, AND HAD IT REPLACED , NOT BY US. NOW 5 YEARS LATER, SHE IS HAVING A TIMING CHAIN PROBLEM, AND DUE TO MILEAGE AND TIME, SHE IS OUT OF WARRANTY. AL DID OFFER TO HELP HER WITH THIS MATTER, EVEN THOUGH SHE PURCHASED IT 5 YEARS AGO. AND SHE DECLINED. WE WOULD STILL BE WILLING TO HELP HER WITH THIS TIMING CHAIN PROBLEM.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: Less than a year first engine went out I didn't blow anything within 4 months engine blew and they kept another 4months at auto shop Al stated to send it to. They sold me a LEMON vehicle and put in another bold use engine. Which when called ************ he stated to send to stated shop where engine was replaced no longer is open. I have been getting lies every since, I purchase at ****** currently 120 which is ****** miles I have put on there since a year after was able to drive. Eco boost or nothing else was fixed at time of replaced engine just been told place close and to come out more money. Then told Al is in meeting everyday all day, finally spoke with AL the owner at Twins and was cussed out swearing at me totally disrespectful stating not his problem I need to purchase a whole new engine. I also have Consumer Law looking into as well, have been able to take on highway since purchase car has never been reliable since day 1 no antifreeze oil leakage, replaced starter and air compressor, battery and on time oil changes with all receipts and documents. No way I should have to replace a 2017 engine twice with only ****** miles use, I am not the only one who's been sold a LEMON. A friend went through same situation with a 2020 all cars he sell, seem as they are doing something to engine less than a year engine needs replaced. I'm for certain this is a on going thing with this business. They are scammers and fraud and very disrespectful to women Al has no respect, they even have the workers lying on their behalf.
Sincerely,
***** **********Initial Complaint

**Better Business Bureau****Subject: Formal Complaint Against twins autoDear Better Business Bureau,I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to file a formal complaint against ************** regarding serious violations related to my auto financing experience with Twins Auto.On September 28, 2023, I applied for a loan through Twins Auto, which was to be financed by **************. Despite receiving a denial letter from **************, they subsequently placed a lien on my vehicle that extends until February 10, 2025. This action raises significant legal concerns regarding the validity of their lien under **UCC *******, which governs the attachment of security interests, specifically requiring a valid security agreement and the debtor's rights in the collateral. Moreover, I have repeatedly attempted to clarify my situation with both Twins Auto and Exeter Finance but have encountered substantial obstacles and a lack of communication. This behavior may constitute violations of the **Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA)**, 15 U.S.C. 1691, and the **Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)**, 15 U.S.C. 1681, as withholding the adverse action letter and relevant information is unlawful.I am formally demanding clarification on the following:1. The exact date my contract was assigned to ***************2. Whether ************** held the title of the vehicle at the time of purchase.3. The adverse action letter related to the credit inquiry made by your company, including the adverse action reference number, which should have been provided to me in compliance with **Regulation B** (12 C.F.R. ******). &,also I never seen , signed or had a copy of the buyers guide which mandates *** used car rulesBusiness Response

******************** purchased her vehicle on 03-30-2021. She put $4100.00 down on a 2009 Dodge Avenger, which is listed on her contract with Credit Acceptance. Her Green *** account was accessed by her, and was used as proof of income to Credit Acceptance, as this is how ******************** gets paid I believe.
As of this date, ******************** is approximately 4 payments behind. Her $4100.00 was used in her contract with Credit Acceptance, and if she is making payments and not getting credit for them, she will need to contact
credit acceptance, as we have nothing to do with her car payments. I did not see in the complaint, that there was any mechanical problems with her vehicle, just her down payment.

On Saturday October 29, 2022 I purchased a 2019 Jeep Compass from Twins Auto sales. I put $1500 down and traded in my 2015 ******* Sonata which was a car that was still running. The very next day October 30, 2022, I attempted to start the Jeep and it wouldn't start. I called AAA for a boost and the car still could not be started after AAA checked the battery. So, I had it towed back to Twins Auto on Sunday October 30th, and I called them on Monday October 31 to let them know it would not start. They had their mechanics check it and they couldn't find a problem, so they had it sent to a Chrysler Jeep dealership in **********. The dealership kept it from Monday 10/31/22 to Thursday 11/3/22 and claimed they fixed the coil pack which they said was causing the jeep not to start. I picked up the vehicle from Twins on Friday 11/4/22, drove it home. On Saturday evening, 11/5/22, I attempted to start the jeep and it would not start again. I called Twins and left them a voicemail. The salesman ******************* claimed that the he would have the jeep towed to Twins dealership on 11/7/22, but he never sent the tow truck. On 11/8/22, I attempted to start the Jeep, it would not start, so I made and sent a video to ******************* asking him why he didn't send the tow truck and proving to him the the truck would not start. I spoke with the finance company *********** on 11/8/22 and informed them of the situation. *********** suggested that I ask the dealer for a trade in, which I did on 11/8/22. I spoke with the sales manager ***** who stated that a trade in *** not be possible due to a submitted registration(?). I am out of $1500 and a car, also making it hard for me to get to work and take care of my family.Business Response
